Peugeot 505

I don't know how hard it is to find parts for Peugeot 505 in other places, but in New England, forget about it. No body sells them anymore. Heck, no body sold the parts back in the 1980's when the 505 was still being made! The internet has made it much easier to find parts for your Peugeot now, however, as not every seller offers products for Peugeot it becomes an hours long game of "Google search" until you can find the dealer who does sell parts for your 505. Well, since I spend my time searching Google for 505 parts anyways, I figured, I might as well make up a list of places that sell 505 parts, for my own sanity more than any other reason. And here it is! A list of sellers/dealers who carry parts for Peugeot 505.

This list is a list of all the online sellers, whom have a large supply of parts for Peugeot in general and the 505 model in particular. I have tried to exclude all sellers who do not offer parts for Peugeot, as well as to not bother with sellers who only offer a couple of generic items. Note, also, that while most of these sellers are in the USA, a few are not, and not all European sellers ship to the USA. I have tried to include only those international sellers who DO ship to the USA. If they have a banner, than I've included said banner under the link to their site.



At the time I added these sellers to this list they all carried a large selection of parts for the Peugeot 505 and shipped to the USA, however, I can not guarantee that the seller's stock may not have changed, or that their shipping policies may have changed over time. Find all general, generic, non-model specific products here: antique car covers, Auto Upholstery, Grilles, Chrome Accessories, Car Accessories, body kits, carbon fiber hoods, led lights, lambo doors, tonneau covers, truck hoods, car hoods, spoilers, ground effects, auto parts, clear tail lights, springs, coilovers, decals, intakes, headers, exhausts, polish, wax, oil, hood ornaments, nerf bars, lowering kits, performance mufflers, hoods scoops, racing seats, running boards . . . yeah, that kind of stuff, things you can take off one car and put on another car, and it doesn't matter what model either of them is because it's just made to go on whatever type of car you happen to have in your drive way.

Okay, here's a list of stuff you don't find every day when looking for Peugeot parts. Yeah, well, I do own a 1971 MudBug in Tangerine Metal flake and a copper penny metallic orange 1964 Dodge with red shag interior, I'm getting ready to metal flake my black 1992 Volvo into a bright purple with a red shag interior, and well, when I get done with the Volvo, I'm planning on doing something similar to a Peugeot, leaning towards neon bubblegum pink candy coat with red shag interior, so, yeah, I don't look at a Peugeot and see an ordinary little family car, I look at it an say: "Wow, what a great canvas that would make! What can I do to it?" Yeah, so, that kind of thinking, requires looking for sellers who offer items used to build pimp mobiles, and well, no one but me ever looks at a Peugeot and thinks pimp mobile, so pimping a Peugeot requires, buying products for other types of cars and adjusting accordingly.

(Hey . . . did anyone notice I love bright colors and red shag interiors?)

Know that these products are for someone wishing to build a race car or a show car with the performance, styling, and feel of a race car or for someone wishing to build a really flashy car that stands out in a crowd. These parts and products are not made specifically for Peugeot, (and are usually intended for Mustangs, Chargers, Jaguars, Cadillacs, Porsche, Hummer, etc.) and most of these sellers offer nothing for any Peugeot model. However, they do have a lot of great stuff, and if you really know what you are doing (or know a mechanic that enjoys building "custom kit cars") , than it's a simple matter of modifying your Peugeot and/or the products themselves in order to create your own customized Peugeot. Have fun!

PS: One last thing: no you can not buy a red shag interior ANYWHERE! No one sells such a thing. It has to be custom made. Note here, that I was trained as a fashion designer and make all of my own cloths from patterns I made myself, and thus I expanded to making my own car upholstery as well, via the act of spending hours inside the car, measuring and drawing up patterns. It's a trial and error thing, that requires a lot of time and patience and the ability to make patterns from paper bags and sew everything up yourself. I get my fabric from the local Jo-Anns. Red acrylic Eyelash Fleece, which has a pile of 3/4" to 2" depending on the type. I buy it buy the bolt and it takes about 5 to 7 yards to cover one bench seat.

I'm afraid I don't know much about loans or anything else to do with money either, for that matter. I've never gotten a loan for anything, esp not a car, because I buy everything with cash on hand and I tend to buy cars that are less than $1,000. I personally prefer to buy cheap used "junk" cars because my goal is to breath new life into something someone else gave up on as a lost cause. Peugeot 505's are perfect for this type of thing as they are often found for less than $500. However, Peugeot is one of the world's top of the line award winning luxury cars, and if you want to get yourself a new one, you can plan on spending $30,000 + BEFORE the USA upgrades that have to be added to make it legal for driving in the USA. A new Peugeot is not cheap, and the USA models are built to order. Therefor, a car loan, may be in order, so here's a few places that say they can help you out.
