Philips Magnavox 42MF437B/37B Review

The Philips Magnavox 42MF437B is a 42-inch digital LCD HDTV with true 1080p.  It features the full high definition widescreen panel resolution of 1920x1080p. 

Philips' dynamic contrast ratio gives enriched color performance, while the 3D combfilter feature ensures a crisp, ultra sharp picture. 

The integrated HDTV tuner decodes ATSC and QAM removing the need for any additional equipment, such as a set-top box.

The 42MF437B features dual HDMI inputs so that multiple HD capable devices can be attached, such as a HDTV DVD player (which are surprisingly cheap right now due to promotions).

The 42MF437B/37B also features two Component, two S-Video inputs, two CVBS.

VGA in also allows the 42MF437B/37B to be used as a stunning PC display.

The speakers on the 42MF437B/37B are very good and provide Dolby Digital sound. A coaxial digital audio SPDIF allows for the connection of digital audio.

Included with the 42MF437B/37B are a power cord, user manual, remote, batteries for the remote, a quick-start guide and a table top stand. Many users will prefer to wall mount the 42MF437B/37B with a mount such as the Peerless ST650P which gets good reviews.
