Philips Eco TV is Environment Friendly and Power Saving
Philips Eco TV is RoHS Compliant
RoHS restricts the use of mercury, lead, hexavalent chromium, cadmium and a range of flame retardants notably polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ethers.
Being RoHS compliant means that Eco TV is virtually free of those harmful substances that are both a danger to your health as well as our environment.
Philips Eco TV Power Saving Features
- Ambient Light Sensor and Active Content Monitoring
- Low standby mode at only 0.15 watt
- Consumer selectable Power Saver Mode
Being able to dim the backlight in darker scenes has the dual benefit of saving power and improving black-level contrast. The backlight dimming can be control using a room lighting sensor, so in dark rooms, it will dim down and uses less power. There is also a user selectable power-saving mode which caps the peak backlight output level to save even more power. Those power-saving features can be turned on or off via the viewer control setting.
