Turn Your Favorite Photos Into Treasured Hand Painted Portraits

The Art Of Photographs on Canvas

Once only exclusive to the elite, the painstaking process of taking photographs, having an artist copy them onto canvas and turning them into Hand Painted Portrait Works of Art, is now affordable for all of us.

Yes, the same precise attention to detail and quality of the finished art work it just as it was, but now through the access of the internet, more talented artists are available. Each portrait is hand painted in either oil paints, water color or charcoal.

Just take a look at the small sampling below and notice the fine details and coloring and how the paintings almost come to life.

Getting a painting created from a photo is so simple

1. Choose your photo

2. Upload or mail in your photo(s)

3. Decide on the size, medium to be used and whether you want it framed or rolled.

4. View your painting online

5. Confirm that the painting meets your approval. Only when it passes your 100% satisfaction does your hand painted portrait move on to the next step.

6. Your work of art portrait gets shipped

Quick Answers To Your Questions

Q. Which mediums can my painting be created in ?
A. You can have it created in oil, watercolor, charcoal, pencil and pastel.

Q. Will I be able to preview my painting before the final painting is created?
A.Paint Your Life wants you to be100% satisfiedso in addition to being able to view your artwork you can request a modification to your painting. When you submit your photo you can also have the graphics department do their magic with photo editing so that your photo looks its best before getting handed over to the artist who will hand paint your piece of art.

Q. I have a few photos that I would like to combine, is that possible?
A. Yes, you may send several photographs at one time and ask that they be combined into 1 painting.

Q.What if I don't like the background that I have in my photo, can I have it changed?
A. Sure, when you send your photo in just make a specific request to change the background.

Don't be fooled by other companies that blow up a photo then just add a few lines of color here and there and call it photos on canvass. This artwork it totally hand drawn and then the detail is added.

Testimonials From Paint Your Life Customers

Below are a few of the hundreds of glowing testimonials from Paint Your Life customers:

"Thank you so much for the wonderful painting you did for me. It was an anniversary gift for my husband. The painting was of him, his brother, and his mother before she passed away (my husband was 11 at the time she died). When I saw the portrait, I cried. My husband was speechless. He thought it was fantastic. Thank you."

"The painting of our son & mother was absolutely amazing! It is exactly what we were looking for...a true oil painting (not a digitalized reproduction). We will soon be ordering our wedding portrait made into an oil painting as well!"

"The watercolor done of our former home in Pennsylvania turned out beautifully. We have lived in 6 houses and have watercolors done for all of them, but this by far is my favorite."

"As a designer, I would say that I am certainly a little difficult to please. I didn't expect the quality that I received and was so pleasantly surprised. I am absolutely thrilled with my painting. I will use your service again and again. Thank you!

4 Tips For Taking Better Photos

1. Get in a little bit closer
Many of us have a tendency to stand back to far and not get in close to the subject. We just think that we can crop out what we don't want to see. However when you crop it is usually done in a straight line which may cut off part of your subject so it's always best to get in close to begin with and save yourself the hassle.
If you are not able to get physically close to you subject, just use the zoom.

2. Try to focus on only one main subject or idea.
Determine what the main subject of the photo will be, and catch that image with the best detail. Many times you might have one subject close (let's say a palm tree or flowing bush) and then your true subject ( your family member or person of interest) further back. Remember to focus on the person to make sure that they are the main center of attention and the palm tree is just "window dressing".

3. Try to have a very simple background.
The background isn't your main focus but if your background is very busy it will draw the eye to it instead of your intended subject. So simple is best.

4. Try not to have your subject be in the very center of the photo.
When the subject is in the center, you only look at that one detail. However, if you subject is over to the left or right, closer to the top or bottom you eye will wander a bit and look at the entire photograph and will be much more interesting.

You do easily accomplish this by using the rule of thirds. Just imagine having a camera lens split into 9 equal part- -each one a box, 3 across and 3 down (like having a tic-tac-toe game printed right on your camera lens). Where you see a set of lines cross, try to put your subject close to one of those lines.
Sure it doesn't have to be exact and when you move the camera a bit you will notice where your focus looks best so experiment and have fun.

One of the best features of a digital camera is that you can take hundreds or thousands of photos without ever having to pay for film and developing.
