Ideas for a Stylish Picture Frame

Inexpensive Decorating Ideas Using Picture Frames

This first picture was put together for about $10.00, ya that's it! I purchased the frame from my favourite Home decor store. (Homesense) I got it in the clearance section for $10.00, that was a great bargain! A pretty stylish frame with 4 windows for pictures. I then decided what I wanted to put in it! My sister had given me a birthday gift in this great gift bag, with scroll work in a suede finish on one side of the bag and shiny on the other. So you guessed it, I measured and cut the squares for my frame from this gift bag! How's that for recycling, hey! I put it all together and just loved it! It hangs in my family room!

So you see you can just go to the dollar store and purchase a fabulous gift bag that matches your colour schem and cut out the correct size for your picture frame! A fun idea that costs so little!

This can be done in literally about 10 minutes. I used a scrapbooking page for the background in pink plaid, then added a picture from a stationary card, and then just embellished with a name. You can move the elements around and play with the design of it! So many options!

The letters for the name are just stick on letters that I purchased at a local craft store! They add a personal touch! Letters could be used to spell names, dates, birth of a baby! Wouldn't a great photo of a baby with the name and birthdate make a fabulous shower gift!

Interesting ideas you have here for decorating with picture frames. Most of the framed pictures on my walls are either family photographs or art work done by family & friends (my daughter is an artist, married to an artist, and they have a bunch of artist friends!). I'm very fortunate to have such wonderful (and inexpensive) decor for my walls and admire & appreciate the talent my 'kids' display!

Some beautiful ideas - I'm sure we all decorate on a budget - some are just more restricted than others. These options are very appealing. Blessings.
