Pink Floyd - The greatest hits -Top 10

I dedicate this Lens to the best band of all time - Pink Floyd. I am 23 years old and I have to be honest with you, im not really into the music today. My father introduced me to Pink Floyd when I was 11 years old and ever since that day they have been my favourite band. I would give anything to go back to the 60's just to experience the amazing bands of that era.

Pink Floyd are a well known English rock band that was formed in 1965. The original members of the band at this time were Roger Waters, Nick Mason, Richard Wright, and Syd Barrett. David Gilmour Joined in 67'. There first real successful singles were 'See Emily Play and 'Arnold Lane'.

After that they went from strength to strength with albums such as Dark side of the moon, Wish you were here, Animals and the Wall. They have sold over 200 million albums worldwide and came in position 51 in 'The Rolling Stone' magazines list of the greatest artists of all time. Major artists such as David Bowie were have publicly stated that Pink Floyd had a major influence on his music.

I was very heartened to see from the poll that young people are still listening to and appreciating Pink Floyd. My own all-time top song of theirs is Brain Damage, but it really is a tough choice.

Although I grew up in the 60s and 70s, I was never a huge Pink Floyd fan - but I have to say that one of my favorite songs is their "On the Turning Away" which is really a great, heartfelt tune. Have a listen... Very moving!
