Planking vs Owling

Planking and owling are two of the biggest Internet fads right now. While planking was first, a lot of people have moved onto owling because it is the newer thing. If you haven't heard of any of this (do you live under a rock!?!?), this lens will explain what planking and owling are and will provide visuals of people in the act. If you are an avid planker/owler and feel strongly about which one is better, don't forget to participate in the duel.

What is Planking?

Planking (AKA as the lying down game) has swept through the Internet like wildfire. The object is to lie face down somewhere, while your hands are at your side, and have someone photograph it. The more unusual the place, the better.

What is Owling?

Shortly after planking, the owling trend caught on. The object of this activity is similar to planking. Instead of lying down, one must crouch in a perching position while looking off into the distance. The goal is to try and imitate an owl and have someone photograph it. Again, the more unusual the place, the better.

Pfft, Plankng is by far the best. Owling seems to be someones attempt to take something already popular and make it theirs. I wont lie, it too is also impressive. But not enough to rival planking.

Owling wins the day. Planking...PHSSH! Folks can plank in their sleep. Now, Owling, that's an art form. Owlers scowl down at folks from often dangerous and awesome perches while plankers simply lay there face down wondering if anybody cares to notice them and often fall asleep from their boring planking. Silly plankers...nobody cares. In fact, we will perform our owling prowess right on top of your daffy planking to display our utter disrespect.
