Plantar Fasciitis Exercise is critical to reducing foot pain. Over the years I have been a long time foot pain sufferer and through trial and error have finally come up with an effective routine I follow that has stopped my foot pain. About a year ago I began teaching my father the same plantar fasciitis exercise routine and he had stopped his foot pain. I've been hearing about foot pain more and more, so I'm going to post the method for others to use as well.

Like millions of American's I live an active lifestyle and had been suffering from what is know as plantar fasciitis. Plantar fasciitis is a condition which is often mistreated. For me like others it started as HEEL SPUR PAIN, and later worked it's way down to my toes. My cure was a 3 step method that with the help of my doctor, basically cured my foot pain. Step 1: The first step is the stairway stretch. I do this in the morning before work, when I come home from work, and at night before I go to bed. I place the ball of my foot on a stair and push gentle down on my heel with my bodyweight. It stretches out the calf, the rear of the heel, and the bottom of the foot really well. It's a good all-in-one stretch for the general area. Once I have a good stretch depth I hold it for about 20 seconds, then I switch feet. You should begin to feel your heel pain, and arch pain start to be reduced almost immediately. Step 2: The second step is the calf stretch. What this does is it really stretches out the connective tissue that causes your heel pain. That's where most of your inflamitory plantar fasciitis originates from. By stretching out that area specifically you are targeting the tissues that shorten. The stair stretch can't deliver enough pressure to this immediate area which is why this second stretch is critical. You must keep your hands secured against a wall or desk that won't move, stagger your feet, and drive your rear heel into the ground. Slowly lean forward until you feel a good stretch in the heel of the foot and hold that for about 20 seconds. Once again, this is something I do 3 times a day. Here is an example:


Step 3: This is meant to prevent further inflammation. It's critical because the stretches just relieve foot pain, they don't treat the problem. The problem is that as you damage your plantar fascia, it becomes inflammed and begins to shorten. That starts the chain reaction of pain that you can not stop unless you prevent the damage to start with. The plantar fascia exercise only helps treat the inflammation. I wear a special insole in my shoes that I bought here: HEAL YOUR HEEL Those are the ones my doctor recommended. Go right to the Plantar fasciitis insole. What that does is it keeps the bottom of your foot from "Falling" when you place weight on it. That in turn eliminates the cause of the inflammation and when combined with the stretching, it got rid of almost all of my foot and heel pain. I've bought other insoles and braces that did me no good, and this insole is the one my doctor recommended because it is *Medically Proven*. Of course, once I had it I didn't care about credentials, I just wanted something that worked so I could walk again without hating my feet.
