Festering
Pestering
When things fester in your soul
And you've got to really know
What do you do?
Do you sit around and feel blue?
Do you give up in utter despair?
And claim defeat?
Or do you decide that whatever you have inside yourself will carry you through
And your heart will tell you what to do
Grace
If you can move with dignity and grace
In this place
Will you have the space that you need
To breath in the eternal light
Or will you be blinded in the night
And get lost in the darkness
Sad, but true
Now really
With the passage of time
Comes the presence of mind
Of the wisdom that has been sought for ages
People have looked to sages for so long
That they have forgotten
To look within their own hearts and minds
By the candle light
Uh-um
When I look in your eyes, I see
All that I can be
The possibilities give me strength
The reality makes me think
As I soak in the potential
I can feel my mind becoming influential
Beside the fire
As I sit with you beside the fire
I can feel the heart beat of your desire
Your eyes sparkle from within
I'm at a loss for words and where to begin
So I sit and stare into the flame
I'm here with you
