- These are all beautiful pools. I like the idea of painting the surface of a pool so it doesn't look like a plain floor. Having lights would be nice too if the outdoor ones go out.

- The walk in pool edges, as you call "Beach Edge" are very cool. But if you have small children in your household make sure you have the proper pool gates or self locking doors from the house, as it's easy the kids to walk in too deep.

- Phoenix pool, you are right! It is extremely important to have child safety features on any pool. Here in Florida, it is automatic - by code - so we don't even think twice. Around the 'beach edge' pool there is a kiddy fence that goes up when pool not in use. All doors leading out to the backyard are protected w/alarms & the pool/yard is contained - all around the property with a fence to prevent neighborhood kids from wondering in. Even the latches on the gates are set more then 4' off the ground so kids can't reach them.
Thanks for bringing up safety - can't be too careful when designing pools & water features. :-)
