Surrounded by a harbor, Port Charlotte, Florida is not only a beautiful place to vacation in the upcoming winter months; it is also a wonderful place to live. Founded in the late 1950's, the city is home to over 130,000 residents with several grade schools, two middle schools, a high school and two hospitals.

The city provides plenty of shopping as well as restaurants and hotels. For vacationers there are golf courses, tennis courts, yacht clubs, beaches, boating, fishing, sailing and more. The area also offers over 150 miles of man-made waterways like the Blueways trails and several miles of natural shoreline.
