It's sad that people feel that they have to express their secrets this way but it's great that they have forum in which to do it.

It's a pain reality that most of us have buried thoughts, fears, hopes, and activities - some of which are buried so deeply even we don't know they are there. This is an excellent way to share those without fear of rejection. I commend Frank Warren for this initiative. I haven't read any of his books; didn't know they existed. But I will now.

The creepy thoughts that some people exposed really bothered me. However, then I breifly re-capped every weird/sick/strange thought I have ever had and realized the only difference is these people put it in writing. I shook mine out of my head.

Most made me feel kind of sad. Like one said, "We're all faking it." It's like we're not allowed to share the pain we sometimes feel.

At the beginning of 2005, Frank Warren launched a new blog called PostSecret as an experiment in community art, inviting strangers to mail him anonymous postcards that made art out of their innermost secrets and then posting a selection of the cards every week on his blog. Within a year, his blog was one of the five most popular in the world, and his first book, PostSecret, was one of the surprise bestsellers of 2005. My Secret is his second book, a collection of cards from teens and college students--none of which has been shown on the website--that carries the same emotional power and creativity that have made Warren's project a phenomenon.

- It is odd and sad. Some secrets just don't feel safe telling. This is a means for people to voice things without fear of judgment or rejection. It's an interesting concept.

- Yes, it was really a lot of fun to read other's post secret.. In a way it is some sort of a self-therapy to release some secrets in life though there are some negative and positive outcome. All in all it was really amazing how these secrets can make you laugh with all the oddities of life. ~Blessed by an angel..~

- It seems odd, but on the other hand, it seems strange that people would have such poor interpersonal relationships that they open up only strangers. In some instances, it reads like guilt free exhibitionism. In others, reads like self-pity asserting itself. What use is anonymous confession?
Wouldn't it make more sense to work on genuine friendships?

- I do love your lens. I don't follow the bestsellers list, and I had never heard of these books or the website. I think Frank Warren has done a incredible service to those who need to "release" their secrets. It might even save someone from suicide because they can free themselves from guilt. Your presentation of this information is first class. I am going to share it on Facebook, Twitter, and I am going to join your fan club so I can enjoy more of your great writing. 5*
