Did they make you feed better..or worse?

When I read this book part of me felt "well, I'm better off than that guy", but another part felt "I feel the same way...our lives suck".

I felt better about myself or the world I live in.

elly says:

i found comfort in knowing that although i have no one.... im not alone... theres a million people who feel the way i do. in a way we're all connected.

careermom says:

It's sad that people feel that they have to express their secrets this way but it's great that they have forum in which to do it.

Margo_Arrowsmith says:

It was interesting.

clouda9 says:

I felt a lot better---this is a great way to purge small to huge life secrets!

guardianstar77 says:

It's a pain reality that most of us have buried thoughts, fears, hopes, and activities - some of which are buried so deeply even we don't know they are there. This is an excellent way to share those without fear of rejection. I commend Frank Warren for this initiative. I haven't read any of his books; didn't know they existed. But I will now.

DayOldBlue says:

These secrets have inspired me, I see life half full. Not, half empty.

I felt worse about myself or the world I live in.

tyler says:

i feel sad because i feel bad about me thinkin my life sucks but then i relized from this book that people have it a lot worse

Mik says:

The creepy thoughts that some people exposed really bothered me. However, then I breifly re-capped every weird/sick/strange thought I have ever had and realized the only difference is these people put it in writing. I shook mine out of my head.

ss says:

strange

kimmanleyort says:

Most made me feel kind of sad. Like one said, "We're all faking it." It's like we're not allowed to share the pain we sometimes feel.

only1bub says:

I felt really really sad

My Secret: A PostSecret Book

Amazon Price: $10.95 (as of 02/17/2012)Buy Now

At the beginning of 2005, Frank Warren launched a new blog called PostSecret as an experiment in community art, inviting strangers to mail him anonymous postcards that made art out of their innermost secrets and then posting a selection of the cards every week on his blog. Within a year, his blog was one of the five most popular in the world, and his first book, PostSecret, was one of the surprise bestsellers of 2005. My Secret is his second book, a collection of cards from teens and college students--none of which has been shown on the website--that carries the same emotional power and creativity that have made Warren's project a phenomenon.

What do you think of this concept?
