Canon PowerShot S80 Digital Camera Review
This camera is packed with useful photographic features and is a real looker. The Canon PowerShot S80 is attractive and sturdy, covered in glossy-black aluminum with a matte-silver trim and textured black-rubber accents that not only look classy but help improve your grip. The panels and the doors fit snugly, and the camera's density just screams quality. The S80 isn't as small as the ultrathin models, but it will easily fit in a jacket or a loose pants pocket. The camera has a big 2.5-inch LCD plus an optical viewfinder, which is a rare combination these days. While the ultrathins tend to have those big LCDs, they're usually too small to accommodate viewfinders as well.
The camera's controls are fairly easy to understand, though some icons may send you to the instruction manual. Useful touches include a four-way switch that also doubles as a scrollwheel, and a shortcut button that you can program to control image size, white balance, color mode, metering mode, or autoexposure lock, among other settings. For a photographer trying to work in a quickly changing situation, this button can help keep that once-in-a-lifetime shot from getting away. Other quick-access settings are drive mode, ISO sensitivity, autofocus point, flash mode, macro mode, and manual-focus mode. When you do need to invoke menus, Canon has made it as clear a process as possible. Captions accompany cryptic icons, and the LCD's large size makes reading the menus easier.

Easy Photography Business - Digital Camera - Make Money!
Hello, my name John Carroll, and I'm about to introduce you to an industry that's virtually unknown to most people. If you are tired of all the "get-rich-quick" scams and schemes out there, and would like to earn an honest, full or part-time income taking simple digital photos in your local area, this may be for you.Our industry provides specialized services to major lending, leasing and insurance institutions nationwide. There is currently an extreme nationwide shortage of trained individuals to perform these services on a local level. If you are dependable, own a 1 mega pixel or greater digital camera, and have a computer with internet access, I have 100+ NATIONAL COMPANIES that would love to hear from you right now!

PowerShot S80
The Canon PowerShot S80 stores images on SD memory cards. A 32MB card accompanies the camera. This camera's high quality video and 8 megapixel images will really demand a 512MB or 1GB card. Each 8 megapixel image takes up more than 3MB at max resolution and minimum compression. The camera uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack for power, which accompanies the camera, along with a compact battery charger. Because the Canon S80 does not accommodate AA-type or any other off-the-shelf battery format, I strongly advise picking up an additional battery pack and keeping it freshly charged. An AC adapter, available as an option, uses a dummy battery to connect to the camera. A USB cable is included to connect directly to a computer and the included A/V cable connects the S80 to a television set for reviewing and composing images.
A software CD accompanies the camera, providing any necessary drivers and editing software for both Windows and Macintosh platforms. The CD holds Canon's Digital Camera Solution Disk version 26.0 and also features ArcSoft's PhotoStudio. The Canon S80 is Digital Print Order Format (DPOF) and PictBridge compatible, with detailed print settings in the Playback menu. Canon offers a selection of direct-connect printers as well, which simplifies printing even more. And Exif Print optimizes print settings when images are captured.
Canon Powershot Design
The S-Series embodies in a small form factor everything a PowerShot camera can do with a bit extra. The Canon S80 makes a great all around camera for anyone, and would make a good second camera for enthusiasts when they don't want to lug along their full-size camera.
All considered, the PowerShot S80 is one of the better subcompact digital cameras currently on the market.
