Causes of Premature Ejaculation
Premature Ejaculation is much more common then you would think. In fact it is estimated that 30 to 35 percent of the worlds male population is suffering from PE. Some men might not even realize they have it, which in some ways is alright because they do not suffer from the physiological issues.Even though it is so prevalent, the condition is sparsely talked about in our culture. This of course makes it worse in the fact that men think they are dealing with it alone. You aren't, and there are ways to get through this.
There can be many reasons why you have PE. You may have developed it through time, physiological issues, or p hysical disorders, among other things.
It may be caused from:
1. Bad habits developed as a child can led to PE, for instance the fear of being caught masterbating leads you to finish quickly in order for you to hide a perceived shameful and immoral act. This leads to an unconscious habit.
2. Another huge cause is anxiety, stress is horrible for your libido, which really can hurt you because it forms a cycle. The more you stress out about it the worse your PE can get, which in turn stresses you out more and so on.
3. There may also be physical problems that lead to PE, however these are rare. There can be neurological damage, extreme sensitivity of the penis or glans, or multiple sclerosis.

How Can We Fix This Problem
Here is a list of some techniques:
1. The start and stop method.
For this method you should have an understanding partner that you can be comfortable talking with. The partner will start to stimulate the man until he reaches a point just before he loses control, the partner will allow you to calm down until you are ready for stimulation again. Do not rush the recovery time, and study the way your sensations feel both while getting stimulated and while calming down. Remember the point of this exercise is to get comfortable with these sensations until you can control them longer. Repeat three times, then allow yourself to orgasm the fourth. This exercise can be very beneficial for a couple.
2. Treating stress and depression.
SSRI's or anti-depressants can be used as well for PE. However I do not recommend taking them at all, the side effects are not worth the small benefits that will be achieved. SSRI's work to increase the brains levels of Serotonin, which in my experience can be much more safely adjusted by taking 5-HTP, a supplement you can easily find at Walgreens, or any other place that sells dietary supplements. I highly recommend taking 5-HTP immediately as it will help in all aspects of depression and stress. Just as a note tking B vitamins along with 5-HTP has been known to help with its effectiveness.
3. Using Herbal Pills
I have used some herbal pills that are supposed to help with PE. They do help for a certain extent however we are looking for a permanent fix and I have not found the effects to be substantial. They can greatly increase sex drive, which is a great plus, this is due mainly from the herb Yohimbe, however it has been known to increase blood pressure so keep this in mind before taking it.
4. Using the Kegel and Reverse Kegel Exercise
I have had most of my success using these techniques. To do a Kegel you must squeeze the PC muscle located between the scrotum and your anus. This technique works to strengthen the muscle that controls the ejaculatory response and increases the strength of an ejaculation and is all about control. The Kegel should also be done with the reverse Kegel which will help you to relax the muscles around the pc in order to calm the sensations that make you ejaculate. This is the technique used in Tantric sex.
