ARE YOU TRYING TO PUBLISH YOUR FIRST BOOK? Why not publish it Yourself?

Princess Ava and Prince Kali is my third published book.
First of all if you have not started to write your book, do that first! That is called self motivation! Once you have your creativity down on paper you will want to see it in print. Before going to print your masterpiece get it edited, not by your eyes, use a relative or friend that is good in grammar and spelling to cut cost, or get a professional editor. Editing by anyone other than yourself is a must! Once the editing is done you are ready for printing. Find a printer that you like by checking out good jobs he or she has done similar to your masterpiece. After you convince the printer to print your masterpiece for pennies, before you know it you will be looking at something you created from scratch from just an idea!
I hope this overview was enough to get you motivated and started. THAT IS THE MAIN THING, IS TO GET STARTED AND GET THAT BOOK WRITTEN!!!

About bjbook

Hello World.
My name is Bill Jackson. I was born in Montgomery, Alabama. Earned an Art Degree from Alabama State University in 1974. After graduating in 1974, I moved to Chicago, Illinois. After the move I enrolled at The American Academy Of Art concentrating in Advertising Illustration. I left the Academy to accept a position with a Chicago based magazine, (Aim Magazine) as Art Director and Cover Illustrator. I remained there for nine years.
I also started work as an Advertising Artist for the Sears Chicago Group Advertising Dept., and remained there for fourteen years. While still at Aim and Sears I met Diane Deaderick, the Author of the famous 1988 Edition of Princess Ava and Prince Kali, which I illustrated. I returned to Montgomery in 1991 and worked as a Graphic Artist and Printer for the Montgomery Regional Medical Center. In 1992 I Illustrated another successful book, a coloring book, The Deer In The Big Forest, written by Betsy Taff, commissioned and published by the Alabama Children's Trust Fund. I returned to Chicago in October 2007. Presently I hold the position of Staff Artist and a Board Member of the Alabama National Historic Foundation. This organization helps promote the Historic Heritage of the 1965 Voting Rights March from Selma to Montgomery. I have recently finished illustrating the Second Edition of Princess Ava and Prince Kali, March of 2008.
