Proverbs as Affirmations

In the Bible, it says that God is spirit - "God is spirit, and those who worship God must worship in spirit and truth." John 4:24

I've also read in the Bible, that in God, we move, live, and breathe.

1 John 1:5 reads, "This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness."

To me, if God is spirit and light, then God almost seems more like an energy.

I've also been reading Excuses Begone! by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer. Dyer refers to this connecting spirit, this energy that we live in, as Source. Source seems fitting to me for my understanding of God.

6. In all my ways I acknowledge Source and Source directs my paths.

7. I listen to Source's wisdom. I simply obey Source and therefore do what is good and righteous.

8. Obeying Source is health to my naval and marrow to my bones.

9. I honor Source with the first fruits of all that I receive.

10. And my accounts are filled with plenty.

11. I pay close attention and take head when Source speaks.

12. Source corrects gently, as a parent who delights in their child.

13. I am happy that I am finding wisdom and gaining understanding.

14. For the gain is better than profit from silver and gold.

15. Wisdom is more precious than jewels. Nothing I desire compares with wisdom.

16. Having wisdom is a long life, as well as wealth and honor.

17. Wisdom's ways are ways of pleasantness, and all wisdom's paths are peace.

18. Wisdom is a tree of life to everyone who lays hold upon it. Everyone is happy who retains wisdom.

19. Source, by wisdom, founded the earth, and by understanding, founded the sky.

20. Source's wisdom caused the rivers to flow and the clouds to give rain to the earth.

21. I hold onto my wisdom and insight. I keep sound wisdom in my sight.

22. Wisdom and insight are life to my soul and adornments for my neck.

23. With wisdom, I safely go on my way.

24. When I sit, I am calm. When I sleep, my sleep is sweet.

25. I am always at peace in my environment.

26. For Source is my confidence and always keeps me safe.

27. I enjoy giving good to them who it is due, and when it is in the power of my hand to do it.

28. I am glad to help my neighbors in the now if they ask, and it is in my power to help them.

29. I like seeing good for my neighbor, seeing that they dwell securely.

30. I am at peace with others. Others are at peace with me.

31. I choose peaceful ways.

32. The righteous are in Source's confidence.

33. Source blesses the habitations of the righteous.

34. Source shows favor to those who are peaceful and acknowledge Source.

35. Wise people gain honorable reputations and honor Source.

1. I am connected to Source. I hear the instruction of the wise. I gain insight.

2. I receive good doctrine. I honor the wise teachings.

3. I am loved wholesomely by my parents.

4. My heart retains these words. I keep the teachings and live.

5. I receive wisdom and insight. I remember these words and keep them with me.

6. I keep wisdom and wisdom protects me. I love wisdom and wisdom keeps me safe.

7. Wisdom is the principal thing. Whatever else I receive, I receive insight.

8. I exalt wisdom and wisdom promotes me. I embrace wisdom and wisdom brings me honor.

9. Wisdom is my crowning glory.

10. I listen to wisdom. I accept these words and I live a long life.

11. I am glad that I am being taught in the way of wisdom. I am thankful that I am led in right paths.

22. Source created wisdom first of all, the first of Source's works long ago.

23. Wisdom was made in the very beginning at the first, before the earth.

24. Wisdom was born before the oceans, when there were no springs of water.

25. Wisdom was born before the mountains, before the hills were brought forth.

26. before Source made the earth and it's fields, or even the first dust of the world.

27. Wisdom was there when Source set the sky in place, when Source set a circle on the face of the deep.

28. When Source placed the clouds in the sky, when Source established the fountains of the deep.

29. When Source gave the sea the decree, that the waters should not pass Source's commandment; when Source marked out the foundations of the earth.

30. Then wisdom was by Source, as one brought up with Source: and wisdom was daily Source's delight, rejoicing always before Source.

31. Rejoicing in Sources habitable earth, and delighting with the human race.

32. Therefore, I listen to wisdom, for blessed are they that keep wisdom's ways.

33. I hear instruction and am wise, and take heed to it.

34. I am happy that I hear wisdom; I watch daily at wisdom's gates and wait beside wisdom's doors.

35. I find wisdom; I find life and obtain Source's favor.
