The Psychedelic Furs- British Post Punk New Wave Stars

The Psychedelic Furs were a British post-punk, new wave band formed in 1977 by brothers Richard and Tim Butler. Their 1980 self-titled debut album was produced by Steve Lillywhite. The LP quickly established the band on radio and was a top 20 hit in the UK and also found success in Germany, Italy, France, Spain and Australia.

As was often the case with 80s Brit bands, the US version of the album was re-sequenced, but failed to have a strong commercial impact.

Their 1984 album "Mirror Moves" produced several UK hits and made the band a staple of college and alternative radio stations.

The band split up in the early 1990s, with original members moving on to other projects, but reformed in 2000 for a reunion tour and live album.

The Psychedelic Furs - Love my Way

80's Classic Psychedelic Furs Great Song There's an army On the dance floor It's a fashion With a gun my love In a room Without a door A kiss is not enough In Love my way It's a new road I follow where My mind goes They'd put us On a railroad They'd dearly Make us pay For laughing In their faces And making it our way There's emptiness Behind their eyes There's dust In all their hearts They just want to Steal us all And take us all apart But not in Love my way It's a new road I follow where My mind goes So swallow All your tears my love And put on Your new face You can never win or lose If you don't Run the race

I loved this group when they came out. I loved 80's music for the simple reason there was so much variety and experimentation with music.
Great lens.
