Writing For A Living: Preserving A LIttle Bit Of Family History

This lens is really all about writing and writers. And, of course, the many ways we can earn a living while waiting for that lucrative publishing deal. To begin with I would like to tackle self-publishing, in this case, a family cook book.

This is your chance to work with family on a project that might just bring you closer together and preserve family history--publishing your own family cook book. I've published a little bit of information on how to get you started at Associated Content (which is a whole other lens). We'll also talk about which publisher will best fit your project plans. If you like, you can read my article How To Publish Your Family Cook Book and maybe you could pick up a few tips here and there. At least, I hope you will.

How To Make Money Writing A Blog

Taking Time to Build Up Your Online Business

Blogging can be a worthwhile hobby but wouldn't you like to earn money online with it? With so many offers out there it is hard to decipher which affiliate or ad company will work for you.

Nonetheless, we can work together and not deceive ourselves about becoming a millionaire overnight. It's hard work and I've yet to see proof that thousands of people are making tens of thousand a day. I guess we should all be billionaires by now.

My journey is simple. I would just like to make around $400 per week online. How about you? So far I have reached about $200, sometimes a little less and sometimes more, in any given week. Almost there, one might say. Here's part of the story from The Family Book Cellar and it won't cost you a dime, penny, or anything.

SpreadShirt allows you to upload your own designs (or ones made by other SpreadShirt-ers, so to speak)and earn money when you or someone else creates a product with it. Of course you also make money with their Spreadshirt Inc. affiliate program. It's a good one--20% per sale and $2.00 per lead.

About gtargirl

I love writing blogs but spend way too much time doing so. I am, for now, a freelance writer. Writing takes up pretty much of my life, which is a good thing I suppose. I am a single parent of two teenagers. Both would like to work in the entertainment business. One is an actor and the other is headed for USC film school. You can read all about our misadventures at Pieces of Me or at The Hollywood Moms Report. And if this bio isn't long enough I can tell you how to make money blogging over at The Family Book Cellar.
