Qigong

Qigong is a 5000 year old energy art for strengthening the flow of life force and improving health.

According to Chinese medicine, good health occurs when there is a balance maintained between the two opposing, yet intimately related and attracting energies of yin and yang.

True health exists when the body is adjusted according to the principles of yin and yang as well as synchronized with the yin and yang of nature, namely heaven and earth.

An imbalance in the forces of heaven leads to tornados, hurricanes, and other natural disasters.

An imbalance in the forces of yin and yang energies within the human body causes illness to take hold.

Qigong practice creates a healing process, where the goal is to move more toward the center of the yin-yang continuum so that there is no longer a reponderance of yin or yang creating imbalance within the system. Qi gong is a great anti-aging and stress reduction tool.

What is Qigong?

Qigong means literally "Training with Qi Energy".

What is Qi Energy And of what importance to us is the understanding of this Life Force Energy as some call it?

The ancient Chinese described it as the force which all living things relied on for existence and growth. Through thousands of years of experience, and also I think through extra sensory perception, they further established how the Qi energy flows in the channels - the meridians - in the body.

All the healing modalities in Traditional Chinese Medicine (Tui Na massage, acupuncture, herbal medicine, Qi energy healing ) are based on the understanding of Qi energy flow in the body, and all are aimed at maintaining or inducing a strong, free flow of Qi energy in the body, for as the ancient Huang Di Nei Jing wrote "if there is a strong flow of Qi and it is not stagnated, how can one ever be sick".

"The ancients have developed to a fine art the mastering of this life-giving force. This training is called Qigong and consists of movements, special breathing and stillness meditation." - Jack Lim

Factors that Block Qi

type=text Emotions

Unbalanced emotion is the biggest cause of the blockages in the body.

When a person gets angry and experiences stress , for example, the automatic chemical activities of the body cause energy to collect in the liver. If this energy is not removed from the liver, a blockage gradually forms and our liver becomes sick.

Our ancient wisdom asks us to stay calm all the time to keep the Yin and Yang energy in a good balance.

Nutrition

Food has Qi.

Everyday we eat two or three meals plus snacks. When we do not "eat healthy," our body's energy gets out of balance.

Eat locally grown products. We live on land with the plants. The plants grow well because of the harmony between their energy and the energy of the land. When we eat food produced locally, our body ingests the optimal Qi we need to live on this land.

Wrong Medication

Medication helps many people with their sufferings. At the same time, other problems related to wrong prescriptions, side effects, and inaccurate diagnoses often develop.

Side effects, alone, can be deadly. The Journal of the American Medical Association reported that in a recent year 105,000 patients died in hospitals from correctly prescribed and properly administered medication.

Changes of the Weather and the Seasons

The earth rotates as it revolves around the sun to give us days, nights, and different seasons. When the weather or the seasons change, the energy frequency of our body may not be in harmony with the frequency of the weather or season.

That's why we see:
- As spring comes, many people get liver problems
- As summer comes, many people get heart problems
- As fall comes, many people get lung problems
- As winter comes, many people get kidney problems

Through practicing Qigong we automatically adjust our energy to the changes of the weather before a blockage occurs.

Qi Deficiency

How to Restore Qi

We make Qi by combining food and air.

We can increase our available Qi energy through breathing, physical exercise, postural alignment and qi foods

Our core beliefs, stress levels and mental attitudes will also help determine our Qi level, life-affirming and self-valuing beliefs helping to give us fuller access to our vitality.

Qigong Food-Based Healing

Supporting our Qi through Food

To support and increase our Qi we need to eat foods which release energy steadily into our system over a long period of time. This quality is partly described in the West as complex carbohydrates which provide a sustained source of energy.

It is also important to eat foods whose Qi has been interfered with as little as possible by processing, transport or irradiation.

So we need to include as much fresh, local organic food in our diet as possible. Microwave cooking will also significantly deplete the level of available Qi in food.
Important!

Chinese medicine tells us

That overexcitement and excessive happiness causes damage to the heart energy.

That anger and anxiety damages the liver energy.

That fears damage the kidneys.

That sadness and depression damage the lung energy.

That too much thinking and mental work damages the stomach and pancreas.

Qigong - The Source For Longevity

Ageless Women

The Chinese have studied ways of creating and maintaining healthful longevity for thousands of years.

One of the jewels coming out of this quest for everlasting youth is the gentle, life-enhancing exercise practice of Qigong (pronounced chee-GUNG).

Commonly known as Chinese yoga and Feng Shui for the body, Qigong is an ancient form of Chinese medicine exercise that retards the aging process by cultivating and strengthening the vital energy (Qi) in the body. It is an easy-to-perform exercise practiced to self-create medicine naturally within the body and is suitable for people of all ages and physical abilities, especially older people and those recovering from illness or injury.

Qigong is a key to healthful longevity because it balances emotions, promotes serenity, and strengthens the body.

A typical Qigong workout includes stretching and strengthening exercises, breath work, creative visualization, self-massage, vocalization of sounds, and meditation through both movement and stillness.

Practiced for twenty minutes on a regular basis, Qi gong tones not only the body, but also the mind and spirit.

Increase Qi | Qi Healing

Longevity, profound Anti-Aging effects

Many Qigong practitioners show profound anti aging effects, often looking decades younger than their actual age.

Most notably Qigong is used to for improving digestion (bigger bowel movements/enhanced detoxification), strengthening blood circulation, keeping a strong immune system and overall - extending lifespan.

How does Qigong accomplish this?

Simple...

Qi moves the blood.

Qi improves micro circulation to the brain, vital organs, intestines, endocrine glands

Increased Qi or Bloodflow leads:

To the accumulation of what Chinese Medicine calls "Jing" or special fluids (hormones).

To an increased sex drive, higher levels of secretion of growth hormone and extraordinary muscular endurance.

It is quite possibly the most powerful form of exercise on Earth - Qigong.
