I had to give this lens a boost because my sister found so much relief practicing this during her time with ovarian cancer. It helped her with both her emotional and physical relief and she would do modified versions of it from bed and find help.

Qigong sounds like a fun activity to perform. Is this activity safe though for people who have had a hip replacement surgery? I'm just a little anxious because there have been reports on the possibilities of a DePuy Pinnacle Recall. I hope I can still try Qigong despite my disability.

QIGONG is an amazing activity, I will definitely try at least once in the future.

I'm fascinated by how the body will move itself if allowed to. I find that when I just let go and let my body move it makes QiGong type movements. I am also able to hold my arms or legs up much longer than if I tried to. I'm still trying to understand what exactly is happening when I do this. I always feel much better afterwards. Blessed!

I had thought it was 1994 when I first became interested in Chi Kung, but actually it was 1991 when I first noticed what I later learned to be chi circulating in my own body. It was only after I watched Moyer's "Mind Body Connection" on PBS that I began doing the standing positions of Zhan Zhuang Chi Kung. When you are able to move the surge of energy through your body and out through the palm of your hand to affect others, it feels like...magic.

I was impressed with that PBS program also. Thanks for the comment.

Being healthy is the most positive feature in life and Chi Kung happens to be one of the easiest ways of achieving this. I always love this for gigong for health. 5 star on this lens.

Nicely done lens with lot's of information! I do yoga and someday I intend to try Qigong.
I had an angel reading recently and was told to spend at least an hour a day just breathing. Most days I don't find the time for that but I have had some amazing results when I do! *****

I have been very fortunate to have a great Qigong teacher right in my neighborhood. I have been studying with him for 9 months and Qigong has improved my life and well being greatly. Qigong is easier to learn in person, because it is easier to connect with the energy when working with someone who has developed their chi skills. In our classes we actually move energy. I have blogged about this extensively at http://authenticinsight.com. Nice job on the lens by the way!

Thanks for your visits to my lenses and calling my attention to your Qigong lenses. I love Qigong ever since I learned it (slightly) in massage school.

    Congrats on your great lenses!

Excellent lens and a great resource. I'm familiar with Spring Forest Qigong, but other than that, I know next to nothing on the subject. I'll be back, I'm sure.

This is a wonderful source of information about Qigong. Thank you for compiling it! I am also a practioner. I suggest that you check out The Way of Joy qigong if you haven't tried it yet. It is very powerful.

Thanks for the healthy information on Qigong. I'm looking into adding more physical elements to my current meditations - a lot of good information to start with here.

    Much appreciated!
