Meet Qui-Gon Jinn
The Jedi Master, Qui-Gon Jinn was not the typical Jedi. He truly embraced the Jedi philosophy of "feel, don't think- use your instincts".
Qui-Gon was Obi Wan Kenobi's mentor as he took Obi Wan on as his apprentice. The two together found and saved the young Anakin Skywalker from slavery on Tatooine.
Qui-Gon fell to the lightsabre of the Sith Lord Darth Maul. Obi Wan and Qui-Gon took on Darth Maul with his double bladed lightsabre. Obi Wan was able to defeat Darth Maul, but was not able to save his Jedi Mentor. In Qui-Gon's last breath, he instructed Obi Wan to train Anakin.

Oh sure, a young Obi-Wan Kenobi joins his master Qui-Gon in battle, but it is Qui-Gon Jinn who deals the fatal blow. The lesson of exhibiting meditative patience - yet being able to fight ferociously - is not lost on student Obi-Wan. He recovers the lightsaber of his fallen teacher, in the hopes of imparting these same characteristics to his own student Anakin. This appealing recreation is for costuming, however, and we wouldn't recommend wielding it in another battle with the Sith. The green blade extends to over 3-feet in length and the saber is battery powered (2x "AA" batteries required, not included).
