Quick Easy Halloween Costumes

Halloween Costumes history actually began in the Celtic Druid religion and is a story of witchcraft, death worship, and fear.According to historical documents, October 31st was the day that the druids would worship the Lord of the dead. Glue the leaves on the outfit (without your baby wearing it of course), using fabric glue or a hot glue gun. Place your child in the wagon, add some more leaves on top, and you are ready to go!

Cut two long, fairly thick strips (between one and two inches depending on the size of the child) from the second piece of posterboard the full length of the board. Using hot glue, attach these strips to the top of the back side of the shell, then run over child's shoulders as straps. Cut a hole, large enough to fit your head, in one end of the sheet, and then put your head through it. The back end of the tiger should also cut out a small hole for their head, but they should cover their face in black and orange striped make-up so that it blends into the rest of the costume. Cut an oval out of a large poster board and paint a turtle shell design on it. Now, you just need some green sweats to complete the turtle.

Cut one piece of the poster board into a large oval shell. Draw large wobbly circles on shell. Cut a few holes in the shirt, and if it's chilly, layer it over a sweatshirt for added warmth. Add colorful strips of scrap fabric for a sash. Cut flower petal shapes out of yellow felt and glue them all around the hat. If you'd like you can cut two large leaf shapes out of green felt and glue them at the back of each of the shirt's sleeves.
