Rude City Riot: Intense Power Ska from Vancouver

Vancouver, B.C. based "Power-Ska" band Rude City Riot now take their place alongside Canada's top Ska talents with the 2011 release of "Nothin But Time" on Stomp Records. This is RCR's first full length recording and is available in stores now, or online at itunes, Amazon and of course at StompRecords.com.
Few bands of any genre suddenly show up with a debut record with such impressively well crafted songs. Though the members of Rude City Riot have differing musical pedigrees, they all have a strong reverence for the mighty Ska traditions and share the influences of Rock, Punk, Reggae, soul and Jazz. When these influences are blended by RCR you get what their fans are calling "Power-Ska"
The term "Radio Friendly" comes to mind when Rude City Riot's melodic hooks and edgy vocal lines are ringing in your head the morning after the concert or from listening to the record for the first time. Lead singer and primary songwriter, Dustin Lionhart III has been perfecting his craft writing Ska based songs since he was 14 and it shows on this record. Hooky and memorable songs played by very impressive musicians who obviously love to perform them live on stage. The band's natural stage presence is magnetic.
A great new band with their first full length recording, Rude City Riot are making friends and fans around the globe and they have only just begun - let the dancing begin.
