Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System - Worst Homeowner's Nightmare

Yes! The State Law says that you have 3 days from the time you sign a contract to change your mind. So, in the morning you will call the "nice salesman" and cancel the contract.

Morning comes - and you start making your phone calls. Not so fast, they tell you. First, the salesman says it's out of his control; he passed the paperwork to the main office. The main office says the guy in charge is out. So, basically you are stuck. And then you realize that if you started any legal action or gotten other consumers' rights organizations involved, you'd lose because you, in your own handwriting, backdated the contract, thus literally voiding your 3-day right of rescission.

They got you - and they got you good. So, your only hope and solution now is to get this reverse osmosis water filtration system installed - and pray and hope that it is worth the money that you are paying for it.

I will give credit where credit is due. The whole concept of reverse osmosis is awesome. There are many sites that go into technical details and describe what it is and how it works. This is not the purpose of my article.

Our newly installed reverse osmosis system started to produce delicious pure clean water. My kids were enjoying it tremendously. Yes, the system was making some noise on a regular basis. The installer explained that it was a temporary event, while the system was purifying the water and getting adjusted. All we needed to do was relieve the pressure from time to time.

That being said, the first few months have gone by rather smoothly. We were aware that once a year the filters needed to be changed - a rather expensive deal - but at least it is on a once-a-year basis.

8 months goes by - and our water starts to smell......

Over the course of the year I've researched numerous water filtration systems. After everything I've learned, and all the reviews that I've read, the reverse osmosis system is, by far, the most superior system on the market.

It truly produces a pure, clean water, without dangerous metals, but with good minerals that are important to our body. It doesn't have to cost thousands of dollars, like it did with us. You can either install it yourself or get your local handyman to do it.

The one shown in the picture (Crystal Quest Reverse Osmosis-ULTIMATE) is very similar to what I have, it does exactly the same thing; however, the benefits are - it costs a lot less and the filters are readily available for purchase. Additionally, this system comes with a booster pump - and that is exactly what we need for our house.

After careful consideration and weighing all of our options, we will be removing our existing reverse osmosis water filtration system and installing this brand new model that will give us the same results, with a lot less headaches. I wish I knew then what I know now about water filtration systems.
