Dr. R. Patrick Abergel, M.D. is a cosmetic surgeon specializing in laser surgery and liposuction procedures that are innovative and cutting-edge. His 20 years of patient care and medical research in the United States and France make him uniquely qualified in the cosmetic surgery industry. Dr. Patrick Abergel takes a distinct pride in being able to provide cutting edge innovative techniques in his offices, including his own patent-pending instruments and techniques. After graduating from the University Pierre-Marie Curie in Paris he left his home country, France, to come to the United States and attend Harbor-UCLA School of Medicine in order to complete a research fellowship in Plastic Surgery. His research performed while attending Harbor-UCLA School of Medicine earned him a number of highly prestigious awards, including The American Heart Association Fellowship Award, The Dermatology Foundation Award, and The National Alopecia Areata Foundation Award.
After serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor at UCLA School of Medicine for almost a decade, he is now a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the USC School of Medicine. As a specialist in liposuction and cosmetic surgery, Dr. Abergel has had the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, and Europe as a guest lecturer to universities, medical schools, and groups.
