A Review Of The Enkei RPF1 Wheel
Hi guys and gals, I'd like to spend a few moments letting you know about the Enkei RPF1 and how it performs out in the real world, based on my own personal experiences. So, what is the Enkei RPF1?
The RPF1 is one of Enkei's Racing series wheels. Racing series wheels are the highest performing wheels Enkei makes and are meant for, amongst other performance applications, track duty, which is what I'll be talking about for the remainder of this article.

So, what are the benefits of the RPF1? Many. First, the high strength build process and materials guarantee a lifelong wheel that can endure the toughest conditions. Second, weight. Compared to their steel counterparts, the RPF1's clock in at nearly 50% the weight savings. Imagine if you could achieve that on every part of your vehicle! Third, the look. In my opinion, the RPF1 is still the best looking tire Enkei offers. It's instantly recognizable six spoke layout is not only clean in appearance, but opens the wheel well so those giant Brembo's can peak through, if you've got them.
By now you have a picture of the performance offered by these wheels. Let me add some personal testimonial based on their use both on the street and the track.
As a street wheel, they perform flawlessly. As mentioned before, it's the look that gets noticed right away. Don't be surprised if you're asked on multiple occasions where you got them!
As a track wheel you'll be pleasantly surprised. I've run the Enkei RPF1 wheel and Nitto NT05 tire setup at Buttonwillow Raceway in central California. The performance gains over stock are immediately noticeable. Running the slightly wider wheel and tire combination than what came with the car off the showroom floor is probably the best dollar for dollar upgrade you can do for your vehicle. Particularly around the "Cotton Corner" and "Bus Stop" turns, notorious at Buttonwillow for being some of the hardest, the wheels shone.
