"Rebounding": Improves Immune Function, Better Body Composition, Strengthens, Reduces Stress

Ranked #9,218 in Healthy Living, #152,296 overall

I Love Rebounding

Rebounding exercise is fun, it strengthens every cell in the entire body at the same time, is helpful for losing weight, strengthens the immune system, detoxifies the body, reduces stress, building up health as in healthy living, improves balance and even NASA did some extensive testing a while back and decided this is the perfect exercise. All that and it is inexpensive too.

I admit it- I love Rebounding. What's not to love?

Note: NASA tells us: Rebound exercise is The most efficient, effective form of exercise yet devised by man." Most of us know by now that exercise is very beneficial. You could say am hooked on it. I love several types of exercise, but, my absolutely favorite exercise is and has been Rebounding.

If you don't know what I mean, when I say rebounding I mean that I use a small piece of exercise equipment that looks like a mini trampoline. The very famous Dr. Morton Walker gives us much evidence to support the fact that Rebounding is the ideal exercise. He describes Rebounding as being similar to jumping rope, except it is on a much softer platform that isn't jarring to the joints. It can be done inside or outside, and when done to music it just about puts you in a trance and reduces all types of stress. He even describes how Rebounding helps rid the body of toxins, and since we live in a sea of toxicity, I consider it a necessity.

Do I have a favorite Rebounder, yes, I do. I have had a Needak for longer that I can remember, and it is my favorite Rebounder of choice. When I learned the wonderful benefits of Rebounding, I decided to become certified in Reboundology, so I was certified by Al Carter, considered to be the father of Reboundology. That was a few years ago, and I still Rebound almost daily and still love it!

Watch Part of a Rebound Class

Rebounding is something you can do at home or in a class setting.

If you will notice, real people are in this class.

Everyone needs to exercise whether we are young, not so young
or vintage. If we are lean, not so lean or even lovable sized. No matter
who we are, if we have a body we need to move it.

You can do your own thing, or you can use a trainer in a class or on a
DVD-the choice is yours. Isn't it great to have options?

Make sure you work at your own level. Be well hydrated, warm up and
then cool down appropriately.

Fat Flush by Ann Louise Gittleman promotes Rebounding

The perfect addition to normalizing your body and weight loss

In doing my research for this article I learned about Ann Louise Gittleman. I
got the book Fat Flush and learned why I was taught to teach the
things I teach. It makes perfect sense.

This program is not for the faint of heart, it takes real determination and
being capable to get out of your comfort zone.

But, if you have these strong qualities, this just may be the perfect
compliment to your work-out program. I can see where this
combination is just about perfect.

Those with enough determination have been able to change their
lives and improve their health-including weight loss.

Good Health to You,

You Can Rebound And Enjoy the Benefits At Any Age

I'm going to prove it to you.

I am in my mid-60's, and as you will soon see, I am not a model
I am not young, tall or willowy. I am a 5 foot, 66 year old grandmother
(and great grand-mother).

I work-out at my own level.

I did this short video as a Stress-Relief Tutorial a few months ago.

Be Aware: Every time you work-out be sure to warm-up and then
cool-down properly, and be well hydrated. Only work-out at
your own level. If you are just beginning, start slowly and then
build up.

So, if you are a regular person and not a 20 year old model or
athlete, and want to know if this is something you could do-just watch.

Oh, I am working out on my trusty Needak Rebounder and I enjoy working
out for 20 min or 45 min or an hour at a time. It fits my time constraints.

You can even Rebound if you only have a few minutes at a time. Also,
I keep mine set up in my office and work out for a few minutes occasionally
to break up my work day.

This helps reduce my stress, increase my energy,
boost my immune system, and flush the toxins in my body-all at the
exact same time.

One thing you can do on this rebounder that you are unable
to do on any other exercise machine, or with any other exercise is, you are
strengtheing each and every cell in your entire body at the same time.
That's why it is called a cellular exercise.

In addition it helps burn fat and adjust your body composition
too.

Rebound to 'Music and Lyrics'

Adding Music adds to your enjoyment and benefits

Music and Lyrics was a romatic comedy that was released in 2007. It starred Hugh Grant, Drew Barrymore and featured
Haley Bennet and her vocals.

I love adding this to my work-out.

Rebounding helps with stress, weight loss, strengthening and improved Immune Function. Why not have fun
doing it by using music-I do.

Additionally, when you add music to the equation, it puts you in the mood, reduces stress further and
reduces cortisol, making it much easier to lose weight and achieve your goals

The Music of Grease Gives A Great Work-Out

Grease is another soundtrack I love to rebound to. It has enough
high level and lower level songs to do whatever work-out format
that I want.

You can use it for Aerobics, interval, circuit and the new Pace
programs. Just be sure to warm up slowly to something lower
paced, cool down and then stretch out. And don''t forget to be
well hydrated.

If you are not used to working out, begin slowly and then build
up from there.

Oh - the main thing is this music is so good and makes working out
such fun.

Rebound Exercise: The Ultimate Exercise for the New Millennium

4 1/2 Stars

One Review
I got a lot of wonderful information from this book. It was detailed about the physiology of rebounding something I didn't expect. I was surprised by all the benefits of this exercise. When I work out in the garden and I am sore I rebound and the soreness goes away by 85%. I think it is amazing. It helps the lymph clear all the cellular debris and many other benefits.

Notice: you get to learn all about the whys and wherefores of rebounding, not just how to do it. One reviewer didn't want to learn how and why it worked, so, realize you get it all in this book.

For More Ways to Assist the Cleaning Feature of our Lymphatic system

Moving and exercising assists our circulation, getting great oxygen to the body, and then assisting them with Far In-fared waves and negative ions, are some of the ways to assist our lymphatic system.

Then notice our wellness seminar where we did all three, the lymphatic flush, deep breathing, and using the BioMat to assist the body to remove toxic waste.
Loading

Additional Benefits as well as Types of Rebounding

The Lymphatic System

Rebounding is Good for the Lymphatic System.

Our Lymph system is necessary for ridding the body of toxins. It carries nutrients
to the cell and then carries the waste products away. Whereas blood is pumped by it's own pump-the heart, lymph doesn't have it's own pump. That means it needs movement to make sure the lymphatic system does it's job properly.

What happens when the lymphatic system is not working well. Research shows this contributes to many health issues such as arthritis, cancer, degenerative diseases as well as aging faster.

Vigorous exercise such as jumping on a rebounder is said to increase lymph flow from 15 to 30 times.

Do not worry if you are unable to jump like a kid, any movement at all will help your lymphatic system.

Additional Benefits of Rebounding besides moving the Lymph

You may start with the Health Bounce

Start in the center of your Rebounder and move up and down by using your toes and your calf muscles. Your toes will not leave the mat surface.

The Health Bounce is also a good warm-up exercise, it's beneficial for relieving tension and moving the lymphatic or body fluid circulation. It has also helped many patients with rehabilitation, and with stabilizing the balance system. Those using a rebounder are not as inclined to fall when they age.

The Health Bounce stimulates the inner ear, the antigravity muscles, the nerves in the joints, ligaments and muscles (that's the part that improves balance) It is also used by vision therapists as a vision improvement exercise.

Types of Rebounding

The Health Bounce as was already mentioned, but know that this is a staple
of rebounding.

Start in the center of your Rebounder and move up and down by using your toes and your calf muscles. Your toes will not leave the mat surface.

The Health Bounce is also a good warm-up exercise.

Walking ,Jogging and Running

Do you love to go outside and either walk, jog or run? If your joints are crying out because of the pain, or if the weather just doesn't cooperate, do it on a rebounder. It cushions your joints much better than pounding the pavement.

Running on pavement is very challenging to your entire system, you may get a very effective workout using your rebounder-and of course it can be done inside or outside so you may use it in any weather.

Strength Bounces

In the center of your rebounder bounce so that both feet leave the mat at the same time.

This is called the strength bounce because of the vertical loading of acceleration, deceleration, and gravity creates an increase in the G force to which each cell of the body has to adjust. The higher the bounce the greater the G force. Make sure you work at your own level, beginning slowly and then building up.

Your Strength Bounces will be higher or lower depending on your level of fitness.

The Sitting Bounces

Anyone who can sit can rebound. Even if you are an amputee, or need to use a wheel chair, you can enjoy the wonderful benefits of rebounding in a sitting position.

And don't think the sitting bounces are for wimps either; this is as difficult a work-out as you would like. Some of the greatest athletes use the sitting position to strengthen their ads and trunk muscles.

Do it this way: Sit in the middle of your rebounder, lean back, lift your legs so that you are sitting in a V position and then begin your bounce by moving your arms forward and up. This movement will force your body into the mat. Then reverse the movement of your arms to develop a bounce. This will take a little time, effort and concentration to learn. It is not easy at first, but, it is will worth the effort.

Graduate to More Bounces
After you get stronger, if you would like more challenging things to do, you can get material and learn the Pike Bounce, Splits Bounce, Stag Bounce, three hundred sixty degree bounce, slalom bounce, tuck Bounces and many others.

I love to use my music, and do a variety of bounces on my trusty, well used rebounder.

What do the Experts tell us about Rebounding and the Brain?

This is from Vibrant Balance

Rebound for - Brain Health

Dr. Wear has seen the difference in older people who maintain a regular exercise schedule. "They feel better, their energy reserves increase, they eat better, their peripheral circulation improves, and their range of motion increases," he says. "There's a tremendous difference in their vigor and vitality."

The decreases in mental abilities and reaction time that often come with aging are caused only partially by the lessening of heart function. Rebounding stimulates the brain and visual cortex during exercise to maintain balance and coordination. "The more that nerve cells are used, the less likely they are to age," says Dr. Walker. Animal studies have shown that exercise can increase enzyme activity in the brain and cause other positive functional changes in the nervous system.

Benefits for Children with Learning Disabilities - Rebounding has been used as part of a therapy for children with learning disabilities such as attention deficit disorder (ADD) and autism. Alfhild Akselsen, Ph.D., founder of the Texas Association of Children with Learning Disabilities, based in Austin, sees a lack of mind/body coordination as the underlying problem for many of these children.

"Learning-disabled children have extremely poor coordination, balance, and rhythm," says Dr. Akselsen. "The usual difficulty bringing on a lack of coordination is that one side of the body is not working." She uses rebounding as part of her therapy to teach the child's mind and body to communicate more effectively, and to help the children develop muscle control and improve coordination.

For children with these conditions, the main problem is neuromuscular dysfunction, not reduced intelligence, says Dr. Akselsen. She uses exercises, rebounding, deep nerve and light sensory massage, nutrition, and neuromuscular training to teach the child's body to respond to the brain's output. "There are multiple places in the body where there may be a neurological short circuit. When it affects a muscle, the brain's command to the left hand to move may cause the right hand to move. Or the left hand may move but also the left foot comes along with it," explains Dr. Akselsen.

Rebounder is superior to a gym. It is a best method of aerobic exercise and is equivalent to jogging or cycling. It has positive effects like it does not have a jarring effect which is sensed while jogging or running.
Rebounding exercise works on each and every cell of your body, as while rebounding the G-forces are sensed because of which the strain is dispensed to the entire body and hence your body cells become strong so also your body becomes improved as it builds improved immune system to fight against health problems.Rebounder

This is a great little AB Machine. I personally have it and it works very well. I have used mine for years. It works the Abs, shoulders and chest.

One Review: I Love It
This is the best, I have tried several others, they just don't work as well. Many uses too. This product if used correctly will work. It will tone and tighten your stomach. I love it, love it, love it. I think that I'll buy one for my son as well.
