Red Blood Mole

The occurrence of red blood moles on the skin depends on a lot of factors. People vary in their vulnerability and susceptibility to it. There are high chances of growing red blood moles on the skin if you often expose yourself to the sun; if you are the type that easily reacts to noxious stimuli to your skin (these type of people often have other skin problems such as freckles and eczema); if you have it in your family (hereditary); and other carcinogenic substances.

If you fall within the range of the above listed persons, you should constantly monitor your skin for any abnormal growth of reddish colouration, because red blood moles can easily creep upon you without you noticing. From time to time, you should take time out to examine your skin in a full length mirror; run your fingers carefully over the surface of your skin for any lump or elevation. If you find any, note the colouration and its general morphology, also note its sensitivity (that is if it elicit pain when you touch it).

Red blood moles can be cancerous, if they grow in size and changes to different colour shades. Usually most red moles are normally consistent with a round, almost-spherical edges. However if the edges appear to be jagged and the whole mole shape seems asymmetrical, then there should be a cause for worry. If you notice these symptoms, you should visit the dermatologist as soon as possible to make a confirmatory diagnosis. Most red blood moles can be treated at an early stage of its development; but if let to develop and fester, it can result into a full blown skin cancer--a melanoma.

If you notice any abnormal growth on your skin, take immediate steps to alleviate the condition before it blows out of proportion.
