Making the Wheel

1. 1) If you are going to use long red packets like mine shown here, you will need to cut the red packets into half. If you are using square red packets, you can skip this step.
   

2. 2) Stapler 2 red packets together at the corners as shown in the picture. Do this for all the red packets.
   

3. 3) Open the red packets slightly and stapler the red packets together in the center as shown in the picture to join them together.
   

4. 4) Repeat step 3 for all the red packets. Join them together as shown in the picture below until...
   

5. 5) you get a wheel like this.
   

6. 6) Decorate your wheel with Chinese flowers or decorations. I have cut out 2 pictures from 2 old red packets and stick it on my wheel. You will need to decorate both side of the wheel. Another way is the recycle old Chinese New Year greeting cards and cut out nice Chinese wordings for the decoration.
   

7. 7) Lastly, stapler a string on the wheel to hang up your decoration. You may want to hang a Chinese charm at the bottom of the wheel.
