How to register to vote

This is the link for the voter registration form:

Print it out, fill it out and mail it to your local election commission.

In Knox County (Knoxville) Tennessee the address is:
Knox County Election Commission
300 Main Street
Knoxville, TN 37902

You must be a citizen of the United States to register. You must be 18 years old on or before the next election. If you will turn 18 between now and election day you can fill out the form and send it in.
You can use this fom to change your address too.

If you are a student in college you can register in Knox County if you want to. Be sure and mark "Yes" when asked if you are a resident here.

If you have been convicted of a felony answer the question honestly. Include your daytime phone number. We will contact you to see if it is possible to get your voting rights restored.

In Tennessee, if you register by mail, you must vote in person the first time. If you need to vote absentee (by mail) you need to register in person.

In Tennessee the form must be postmarked Oct. 6th for the Presidential election of November 4th, 2008
