Wow friends and family with these Remote Controlled UFO. Their unusual styles sets them apart from typical flying toys. RC UFO toys are fun to fly and fun to watch. Even spectators are in for a treat as you zoom and zip these ufos. Just watching them evokes those thoughts of alien worlds and strange creatures from space.
UFO flyers represent those eerie stories of strange lights and shapes flying through the sky. Many of these toys come with flashing LED lights to deliver just that effect. Go ahead and fire up some imaginations!

Things to Consider before you Buy
The best remote control ufo to buy is the one which meets most if not all your buying criteria. Aside from the budget, there are other things to consider when looking for a remote control UFO.
1. Handling - Is this craft easy to fly? More challenging toys should be left to older pilots. Or you can supervise younger children.
2. Exposed Blades - some toys come with exposed rotor blades. These should definitely be handled with care even if the toys are light and slow moving. There are models which have a rotor cowling (covering) protecting the blades - and people - from impact.
3. Speed - Faster objects hurt more when they strike something. Fortunately many remote control ufos operate at a slower speed to get that eerie floating effect.
4. Body Material - some Toys come with a rigid plastic body. They are sturdy but may cause pain on impact. Conversely, there are foam body or soft body craft which may not be as sturdy but can be safer.
5. indoor or outdoor use - yes there are very small RC UFOs that are suited to indoor use. Bringing them outdoors on a windy day may not be a wise idea. They're that light. Generally, a heavier craft is best able to withstand wind.
6. Lights - I think a lighted UFO would be loads of fun at night. The impact will be lessened in daytime.

Vectron Wave
Ellen Degeneres and UFOs
The Vectron Wave was recently featured on the Ellen Degeneres Show in a segment on the coolest toys for the year. Click the link to see the video.
This RC ufo does not need a control device to operate. Instead the vehicle has object sensors which notice when the flyer nears a surface. You can use your hands to coax the Wave into different maneuvers by moving your hand underneath it. The sensor also keeps the wave constantly hovering.

The Truth behind the UFO (Toys)
Practically all the UFO toys I've seen are actually a form of Helicopter. They have one or more rotary blades which provide lift. Each one has different configurations. Perhaps the most striking visual aspect is they type of body shapes given to the toys. The X-UFO above integrates the blades into 4 areas of the body. Some other toys will have a UFO body replacing the typical helicopter body in an over-under configuration. Others will have a light body above a rotor, making it similar to a hovercraft.

Parrot AR Quadricopter
RC flyer for older kids
This quad copter produces its own wifi signal. This means you can connect and control the device with your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad. The coolest part is that the Parrot Quadricopter sports two onboard cameras that let you see where it's going. You're piloting as if you were sitting in the vehicle. Yes the AR stands for Augmented Reality.

Silverlit X-UFO
The Silverlit X-UFO is a quad copter encased in a foam body. It can be used indoors thanks to the soft foam. The blades are poewered by separate motors so they deliver consistent power. Because of the assembly and low price some serious hobbyists are customizing their craft. That includes Gyro Upgrades and lipo battery replacements

Wowee Bladestars
Think the Vectron Wave is cool? Try the same trick on a Wowee bladestar. This toy also has a collision detection sensor that lets it fly indoors safely. You can also steer it by bringing you hand closer. The trick is, the bladestar has two wings that appear to spin when it flies. While the motion is not motor powered it may take getting used to.

- Have you all noticed that Squidoo took away that great feature of actually showing you the people who took their time to LIKE your lenses? It is much harder to find you all now. Takes a ton of fun out of the site. Also seems to really cut the traffic down between all of us. It is sad. You can visit my lens at World Petroleum Lets share! I tried to tell them but no response. LOVE SQUIDOO!

- Draganfly Innovations Inc.
- The word play on Dragonfly is done with good reason. Their Draganflyers have that insect like alien look. Draganfly manufactures UAVs and Aerial Video Systems that look more like UFOs than some children's toys. With an owner surnamed Dragan the brand name is a great choice.
