Congressman Ron Paul (R-Texas) is the leading advocate for freedom in our nation's capital. As a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, Dr. Paul tirelessly works for limited constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies. He is known among his congressional colleagues and his constituents for his consistent voting record. Dr. Paul never votes for legislation unless the proposed measure is expressly authorized by the Constitution. On the Issues

Issue Spotlight: Health Care
Dr. Paul's Writings: Health Care
- Affordability of Child Health Care
- As an OB-GYN who has had the privilege of delivering more than four thousand babies, I know how important it is that parents have the resources to provide adequate health care for their children. The inability of many working Americans to provide health care for their children is rooted in one of the great inequities of the tax code: Congress' failure to allow individuals the same ability to deduct health care costs that it grants to businesses. As a direct result of Congress' refusal to provide individuals with health care related tax credits, parents whose employers do not provide health insurance have to struggle to provide health care for their children.
- Blame Congress for HMOs
- The story behind the creation of the HMOs is a classic illustration of how the unintended consequences of government policies provide a justification for further expansions of government power. During the early seventies, Congress embraced HMOs in order to address concerns about rapidly escalating health care costs. However, it was Congress which had caused health care costs to spiral by removing control over the health care dollar from consumers and thus eliminating any incentive for consumers to pay attention to costs when selecting health care.
Twila Brase, a registered nurse and President of the Citizens' Council on Health Care, reveals how HMOs were fostered on the American people by the federal government for the express purpose of rationing care. - Lowering the Cost of Health Care
- As a medical doctor, I've seen first-hand how bureaucratic red tape interferes with the doctor-patient relationship and drives costs higher. The current system of third-party payers takes decision-making away from doctors, leaving patients feeling rushed and worsening the quality of care. Yet health insurance premiums and drug costs keep rising. Clearly a new approach is needed. Congress needs to craft innovative legislation that makes health care more affordable without raising taxes or increasing the deficit. It also needs to repeal bad laws that keep health care costs higher than necessary.
Texas Straight Talk: A Weekly Column
- Congressional Control of Health Care is Dangerous for Children
- September 30, 2007
This week Congress is again grasping for more control over the health of American children with the expansion of the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP). Parents who think federally subsidized health care might be a good idea should be careful what they wish for. - Diagnosing our Health Care Woes
- September 25, 2006
No one disputes the diagnosis: American health care is in lousy shape. As a practicing physician for more than 30 years, I find the pervasiveness of managed care very troubling. - Lowering the Cost of Health Care

Ron Paul Discusses His Revolution
The Revolution: A Manifesto
The Revolution: A Manifesto
Amazon Price: $14.19 (as of 05/27/2012)![]()
In a nation thirsty for change, THE REVOLUTION is Ron Paul's call to arms. Moving from topic to topic at a quick pace, whittling everything down to its bare essentials, Paul tackles everything facing us today: the false choices in American politics, foreign policy as it was laid out by the founding fathers, how we can achieve economic freedom, how we should view abortion, civil liberties and personal responsibility, and what role the government is supposed to play in our lives. As Barry Goldwater defined conservatism in the 60s, Ron Paul redefines it for the 21st century with THE REVOLUTION.

- I've rated you, anyone that
supports Ron Paul deserves 5*
Drop by mine anytime, it's a mixed
lens although Ron has to be included
in what I do.
If marketers realised that without
Ron we soon could lose our freedom for
free enterprise they would get involved.
The two go hand in hand.
Bless you,
