- Liquitex paint is the best brand to use, in my opinion and from trial and error...as it does not eventually bleed into the vinyl, creating a feathered, pale stain around the painted area...usually around the lips when red paint is involved. I have also had brows bleed, when red-based browns were used. This may take months to happen, but using the cheaper paints it usually eventually will. Liquitex is the most expensive, but it is worth it.

- Hello, What do you use if you want to paint all the skin of the doll?, see i have a doll but it has stains in her mouth area (stains in the vinyl) so i need to cover all her face with some skin paint, before doing her lips and eyes.
Thanks

- The only paint to use on the Barbie style dolls are acrylics- but you have to remove the stain first. Try a tube of that OXY blemish cream that people use. For some reason it has a stain removing quality on doll vinyl. Apply to the stain and let sit for a few days- reapply as needed and it should fade that stain away. good luck Tazyla :)))

- Great Lens! I use Luminaire doll paint for all my repaints. I love it, you can use it straight from the jar or thin it with thinner for layered, transparent color. I found it at www.luminairepaint.com. Please keep adding to the great info here.

- That is inspiring -- really. I like remaking doll furniture, but doing the dolls themslves is quite an art. I have the urge to go down to the thrift store and get a little a little doll to try that on... but goodness knows what it would look like when I got done.

- Hi Lynn,
You can find my repaint Cds on www.repaintdolls.com,
or if you go to my main website, just click on Customizing Manuals- either on the home page or the second page. You will find them easily.
The demo was not a video, but a photo tutorial, but it is no longer on my website. I will correct this lens to reflect that. Thanks so much for writing,
Donna anne

- I am venturing on my first barbie repaint, I wanted to watch the video you have on your website and possibly purchase your cd's. I c an't find either one. Not the video or the link to buy the cd{dvd} don't know which. could you send me the info for them. Do you spend much time on fairies in your training ? Love your dolls, I can only hope I will be half as good as you are. Thanks

- This is an excellent introduction to the world of doll repainting. It's enough to entice one to try it,but not too much to scare one off. The photographs add so much to this introduction. They speak for themselves. It's a five-star piece for sure.
