Here are some Helpful Tips to Reporting Identity Theft:

If you think there is even a slight chance you may be avictim  of Identity Theft, Report it immeiately. Here, I will share some helpful tips to Reporting your Identity Theft.

*Most Importantly* Always remember to  keep a record of Names, Dates, Times, Numbers, etc. of all calls, documents mailed, or filed regarding your Identity Theft.

View Your Credit Report 

Obtain a Free copy of your credit report, check for any uncertainties.If you found that you may be a Victim of Identity Theft Contact one of the three main credit reporting agencies, experian,equafax, or trans union to place a Fraud Alert on your report.
Contact any company that you may think your name or info was used fraudulently with.

*Always Remember to Keep a record of all calls, documents mailed or filed*

Reporting Your Identity Theft to Authorities 

After you have obtained a copy of your credit report and established you are a victim of Identity Theft contact the authorities where the crime actually took place. Laws may vary by state.
You should also file a Identity Theft Report with the Federal Trade Commission. These forms are available online or you can obtain a copy by calling the Federal Trade Commissions Identity Theft tollfree hotline at 1-877-ID-THEFT (438-4338.

Reporting Identity Theft as soon as Possible is the main key: 

Hundreds of Thousands of people fall Victim to Identity Theft a year. Identity Theft effects all types of race and gender, especially the elderly. Always take precautions when you are contacted by someone wanting your personal information. Never share any detailed information about you that could cause Identity Theft.
Obtain a copy of your credit report at least once a year to monitor any changes that may be fraudulent. If you become a Victim, do not be intimidated or shamed. Gain your Identity back! Reporting your Identity Theft as soon as possible is key to taking down these Identity Thieves.
