Hello Squidoo World
Today is 7/11 and I thought it would be a cool date to give birth to my first Squidoo lens.
More About Rhonda Holland
I was born June 23rd 1970 in the City of Altoona, Pennsylvania. I spent 7 years in the Army before returning to Altoona. I left the military as a SGT (E-5) and held the MOS of 98 Charlie. That won't mean much to a civilian but to my fellow veterans it will.

Why Am I Here?
Is there such a thing as cyber immortality?
I already snagged RhondaHolland.com but I basically set it up so that all my Army buddies could easily track me down. I thought about turning it into a blog but when I came across Squidoo I decided this would be a better place for me to do all my ranting.
I recently turned 37 and since my nephew informed me I am old I have given some thought to my ultimate demise. My body will eventually decay but I am now wondering if cyber immortality actually exists.
How long could a website exist if nobody was around to keep it updated? Lifetime hosting packages exist, though whether they are a scam is open for debate. Automatic domain renewal to a credit card is standard practice. So if someone used a debit credit card and had a way to ensure their bank account would never be closed, perhaps via a trust of some sort, I think cyber immortality would be possible.

My Interests
You know, if you are interested.
As you can tell from my other lenses, I enjoy reading and am fairly politically active. I'm business minded and try to avoid life's drama. I work as an internet marketing consultant.
I have a dog named Ovid and a whole herd of cats. I started out rescuing 2 cats (Dante and Sappho) but I guess they told others and now I have herd - but no mice so that's the trade off for keeping them all in kibble. I also have a fish tank, not one of those specialty tanks or anything, just some fish to watch swim. A fish tank is very relaxing.
I am a huge animal lover, I think everyone should own a pet.

Marital Status and Such
I'm single, never married, no children. I'm an equal opportunity dater; gender, religion, nationality, and all the other BS some people get caught up on do not matter to me in the least.
Atheist
Please don't try to convert me.
I have no religious belief. I know many people think that it takes faith to NOT believe in God but it really doesn't.
I have yet to come across a single shred of credible evidence that supports the existence of ANY God. I do not believe in unicorns because there is no evidence to support their existence. It doesn't take faith for me to not believe.
If you rule out the existence of every other God worshiped on this planet but the one you believe in, then just understand that I only believe in one less God than you do. Perhaps that will put it into perspective.
Bald isn't a hair color.
Clear isn't a color.
Not collecting postage stamps isn't a hobby.
And atheism isn't a religion.
I do not hate God, I don't believe He exists. I don't worship Satan, I don't believe he exists either.

Current Cost of the War in Iraq
The true cost of the war is in loss of life, not dollars!
I enjoyed Hawaii. I lived on Oahu for 3 years.

- Hi Rhonda,
You're way too young to think about your mortality. You're only 37. I have brothers and sisters older than you. At least wait until you're in your 60s.
Overall great lens. Thanks for commenting on my lens.
