I am starting a Healing centre in the netherlands and was looking for images to use in my logo. I saw your husbands beautiful painting of the angel of abundance... I am calling my centre Aingeal An Raidhse which is Gaelic for Angel of Abundance. I was truely inspired by this painting. Of course I won't use it for my logo with the copyright and all but I hope I will find something close to it.....
  • Heather426 Mar 20, 2012 @ 11:27 pm | delete
I truly hope you find something. thank you for your compliments.

I liked the pictures! I would like to do cross-stitch multiple pictures - how to get the approval of the artist?
  • Heather426 Oct 5, 2011 @ 4:54 pm | delete
Many of the images are already cross stitch patterns. Contact me thru my bio page to ask about any others. Most of the images are published by Applejack Art and they don't usually allow anyone else to use them. But contact me and we can see:)
  • Jenya Oct 6, 2011 @ 12:02 am | delete

This is indeed a beautiful art from Richard Burns. I'm glad you've built this page to feature such cute pieces of work. I love those small houses, they've always made me dream... Really the kind of paintings I'd gladly have in the office (so that I can keep on dreaming) or the bedroom (for making my dreams come true at night).

You're so lucky to have one of his original paintings in the house!

Fabulous lens of your husband's artwork! I just love the Tigers and the story behind the painting.
  • Nola Dempsey Jul 9, 2011 @ 3:10 pm | delete
I just complete the cross stitch pattern of Richard Burns' "Twilight Bridge" which is very close to his "Serenity Cottage" painting. I love the painting and the cross stitch pattern and would love to see him sell another painting to Dimensions to create another cross stitch piece. I am not talented enough to draw or paint, and even have some difficulty following the detail in a cross stitch patten, but feel really blessed to have this one. I could stare at it for hours. The piece truly gives one the feeling of serenity. Thanks!

Oh, I feel I will collapse from excitement when I should be going to sleep! I've been a Thomas Kinkade admirer for several years and Richard Burns is the closest painter I've seen to affect my soul in such a way. In fact, four of the posters you display here have been jigsaw puzzles I've put together. They certainly help create a relaxing atmosphere in my bedroom.

Oh, I just started to scroll up and look at the lovely images again - but I must wait until tomorrow or I will never get to bed. I have to favorite this lens; I just have to...it's magnificent and heart-warming...and so many good things. You have no choice but to visit Angel Blessings.

Wait a minute! I just read Windy Winters comment. Your husband painted these??? Wow! Tell him I'm one of his biggest fans. I am positively gushing ... now I shall never get to sleep...never...if there was a piano here I'd bang my head on it like the Sesame Street character used to do.

I hope to be my normal self by morning, by the way. :)

Wow, your husband is so incredibly talented. Many of his paintings actually remind me of Thomas Kinkaid's style. Probably not the first time someone has told him that. He adds that one thing that brings those photos to such life, the light play! I would love to be able to paint as good as your husband someday! Congrats on the purple star too!

Honestly just blown away by how pretty they all are. Pssstt...admit I've always wanted to live in a lil English cottage so I love all of these. Really a beautiful lens :):)

What a smart idea. This is more personal than most art websites and I bet it works well! The swan is my favorite. I used to live in a house exactly, exactly like that one in Prescott. This particularly interested me because I started an art lens for a friend of mine and gave it to him - we paint together every Sunday afternoon - http://www.squidoo.com/mark-chandler-paintings - he isn't keeping it up but it was fun to make.

    Heather,
I found it! I found it! I had Skating Pond not on a greeting card, but on a PUZZLE. How fitting! I remember purchasing it now. It is a 300 pc. puzzle I bought around Christmastime last year. Tell your husband I was smitten with the picture and could not pass it up.
  • puzzlemaker Jul 14, 2009 @ 8:50 am | delete
You know, I think I may have seen the Skating Pond print in the past. Maybe even have a copy in my box of old greeting cards. I'm going to keep an eye out for it. I also love the Tigers and Victorian House. Your husband's art is amazing.

Wow! That was amazing work. I too am an artist but I have focused on Decorative painting, murals and sky ceilings. You have motivated me to bring out the canvas again. Richard you are the man. I don't think people realize how hard it is to capture an ever changing sky. Keep up the good work and God bless you.

Thank you for your kind words. How cool that you live on a farm which I would love to do! Rich was very pleased to hear your comment. His skies are all unbelievable to me...reminds me of the great English master, Turner. Even after watching him do those, I could never do that.
  • sittonbull Mar 19, 2009 @ 12:58 pm | delete
I'm envious and appreciative of Richard's ability to interface from the brain to the canvas so beautifully. I too love the sky in those pictures... walk my dog every afternoon at my farm and the sunsets and sunrises leave me in awe of the works of "the old master painter"! Great lens with stars and a favorite to you.
