Tips For Buying A Nikon Scope
By Niall Roche
Nikon have always provided a great range of scopes for shooters everywhere. Nikon recently introduced a new scope that provides some stiff competition for other scope manufacturers in terms of excellent brightness - even in low situations; which is often the most challenging environment for many scopes.
With a light tranmission of 95% the new Nikon scopes allow you to see well into the evening so your shooting doesn't end prematurely. The Nikon Monarch UCC is a variable power scope with 3-9x40 topped off with a matte finish. Like most of the other Nikon rifle scopes, this sight comes with 95% light transmission as well as an Ultra ClearCoat technology that allows for great anti-reflection in the field. A 100% waterproof guarantee together with being shockproof and fogproof truly makes this an all-weather rifle scope.
Some of the best Nikon rifle scopes come from the Monarch series. This particular range of scopes is well known for its rugged design while combining optical performance that delivers consistent performance each and every time. All of the scopes in this line feature eyepieces with quick-focus as well as wind and elevation adjustments that can be easily clicked by hand so there is no loss of motion, speed or convenience.
Next comes the Nikon Titanium range which are more than worth a note here. This particular range of scopes offer excellent brightness and clarity combined with a rugged design to suit even the most outgoing of shooters. Regardless of where you're shooting or what type of hunting activities you are taking part in, this scope is sure to deliver with its strong titanium construction and an adjustable 44mm objective lens. Whether you're working in bad weather or low light situations, this rifle scope will deliver to and past your expectations.
The Buckmaster range from Nikon also work really well in a variety of conditions. Like all the other rifle scopes manufactured by Nikon this range provides a waterproof, fogproof and shockproof scope for you to shoot with. This allows it to perform under a variety of different field conditions. In addition, the Buckmasters series comes with positive click adjustments - up to 1/4 minute. A scratch-resistant matte finish along with a no-glare construction complete the great benefits offered by the this series.
Nikon produce great scopes that operate in a wide variety of situations and weather conditions. Maybe you should think about investing in a Nikon scope today?

Frontline Optics AEROS 6-25x56 Tactical Illuminated Rifle Scope
Tactical Rifle scope review.
The Scope In this review is the AEROS(TM) 6-25x56 Tactical Rifle Scope.

This scope surprised me when it arrived in Iraq. Like I stated before the company is in its start up stages and the packaging didn't impress me. It was housed in a bright blue box with 'rifle scope' labeled across the top. But I kept in mind not to judge a book by its cover. Once I opened the box I was kind of shocked. I never really have seen a rifle scope of this kind before.
The scope is a single tube design. This is a plus because it drastically reduces the chances of any light peeking through any cracks. It comes standard with a 30mm tube, mil-dot Illuminated reticle, comes nitrogen purged which makes it fog proof, fully multi-coated, water proof, shock proof, and is equipped with 1/4 MOA click adjustments.
Another AWESOME feature this tactical rifle scope has is that the reticle is on the first focal plane. In a nutshell this is how it works. If your reticle is on the first focal plane, it works along with the objective lens. When the power of the rifle scope is increased, the target and reticle increase simultaneously. This plays a huge factor when measuring a target size and/or distance with a mil-dot reticle.
This scope also comes with a parallax adjustment knob to provide crisp and clear images.

As you can see in the picture above the parallax knob/side focus knob also houses the Push button to activate the Illuminated reticle. The illuminated reticle was a plus, especially in low light conditions.

In a nut shell, the frontline AEROS(TM) 6-25x56 Tactical was a nice addition for our rifles. We mounted them on the M24 Sniper Rifles. They consistently held their zero, had an excellent battery life, provided crisp viewing, and are durable. These scopes took quite a beating while they were tested in Iraq.

Fetching RSS feed... please stand byA Brief History of the Trijicon ACOG
Chad Reimer
The Trijicon optic systems are the leading innovators in
tactical scope technology. In the beginning of Trijicon they
relied on personal innovation, instead of military contracts to
develop their technology. In 1981 Trijicon released their
version of the red dot scope, which used tritium-illuminated red
dot systems. By 1985 Trijicon night sights were available to the
general public, which was the first US NRC approved tritium iron
rights for handguns available in stores. By 1987 the Trijicon
ACOG (Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight), was included in the US
Army advanced combat rifle program.
By the time 1989 hit, Trijicon produced scopes for Operation
Just Cause, in Panama. At that point Trijicon became a must have
within tactical units of SWAT and military operations. Now you
can find a Trijicon ACOG system on almost every M4 rifle in
service. The Trijicon sights are now used by a handful of
militaries around the world, with the innovation of fiber
optics, water proofing, and anti-fogging, making these scopes
the first of their kind, without a cent of tax dollars to
produce these remarkable optic systems.
Now you can find the Trijicon ACOG out of the realm of combat,
and moving into the realm of tactical shooting competitions. A
number of competitions where speed, distance, and accuracy are
accounted for your total score, these optics have taken charge.
Historically the American civilian market has never been far
behind the government issued firearms configurations, and that
is still true today. Featuring a price tag of anywhere from
around seven hundred dollars to twice that, it's no wonder
they aren't featured in every gun shop across America.
The primary customers have been competitive shooters; don't
look at it as a large price tag, but more as the price of the
advantage. Despite the fact the Trijicon ACOG is the most
researched optic system; the Trijicon night sights for pistols
are still the backbone of total sales for Trijicon.
The wide range of firearms night sights Trijicon makes is
probably why rivals haven't managed to tarnish this fact. From
1911 pistols to Remington long guns, the Trijicon sights can be
found providing the same level of precision you can rely on with
Trijicon sights. Most Trijicon sights can be attached by your
local gunsmith in less than five minutes, making these sights a
great addition to any firearm, transforming practical to
tactical in no time at all.
Now the Trijicon night sights can be found on every FBI issued
firearm, as well as deployed military M4. So I believe it's
pretty safe to say this innovator isn't going anywhere anytime
soon. After twenty six years of optic development Trijicon is on
top of their niche market, with no signs of slowing. As a former
service man myself I couldn't be happier to see Trijicon
making the American dream reality, without dipping into tax
dollars. In conclusion the Trijicon sights have a wide range of
uses and products from self defense, concealed carry, to
military operations Trijicon is sure to stay in the game.
