What is Riptopia?

A fast Painless and inexpensive way to have your old music back in your life!

25 CDs FREE. Fill your iPod
Riptopia is a new site offering a service that I certainly wish was available before I had all of my CDs stolen a couple of years ago... They will take all of your CDs and turn them into super high quality MP3s for your personal use. (Don't worry, you still get your CDs back :) ) These MP3s are then playable on your iPod, MP3 player, or other digital device. Essentially, you are paying $1 a CD for all your music you haven't listened to for years! Compared to re-downloading your favorites from itunes.... you can save some serious bucks! Riptopia digital music is higher quality then sold or subscribed to online, plays on all digital music players including iPods, and is permanently backed up in case of a computer crash or a lost player. There are absolutely no playback restrictions on the digital music you get back either!

The Low Down

What I think about these guys

I was a little worried about these guys reputation at first glance, but it turns out they are an authorized reseller and a big name reseller, with Apple and Microsoft on their rolls of clients they sell for.

They've got what amounts to a half off package right now for their lowest package (50 CDs) a total of 25 bucks off.$.50 per CD converted and sent back in MP3 format. Go to their web sit to get the first 25 converted FREE!

Considering I know a lot of people that can spend 25 bucks on itunes in about 7 seconds, this may be a pretty good deal for all of you holding CDs out there. If nothing else, find a couple of buddies and have everyone throw in 5 bucks.

iPod Loading Service

I Really like how they don't put any kind of DRM on the MP3 files, so you can use them in whatever device you want.

I have been collecting music for 30 years and with digital music I was very concerned with quality. I read on other blogs that Apple music is much worse then CD quality. I called Riptopia and actually talked for 25 minutes to a very smart sales rep. Ended up converting 3500 CDs. Amazing service
