Spotlight Band - SNOW - Los Angeles, Ca

Carlos Cavazo, Tony Cavazo and Stephen Quadros Planning Reunion

After years of playing in other musical projects and groups, Carlos Cavazo, Tony Cavazo and Stephen Quadros are planning on taking up where they left off musically when they were last together in Snow over 20 years ago.

"We're not sure if we will go under the name Snow or use a new name, but we are all excited about playing together again. The magic has never left..." states Snow drummer Stephen Quadros.

A DVD release of a rare, high quality concert of the band (Snow) in it's heyday is planned along with at least one new CD with tons of new material.

Some Band History:

Based out of Arcadia, CA, "SNOW" was a heavy metal/hard rock foursome who stirred things up on the Los Angeles music scene from 1978-1981.

Comprised of Carlos Cavazo on guitar, Tony Cavazo on bass, Doug Ellison on lead vocals and Stephen Quadros on drums, Snow performed regularly at The Whiskey, The Starwood and The Troubadour, along with headline shows at The Santa Monica Civic and The Pasadena Civic.

The group released a self-titled 5-song EP in 1980 that included popular Snow songs "Crack The Whip" and "No Way To Treat A Lady". Snow's music received radio airplay on KROQ and KLOS. The original Snow EP has become somewhat of a collectors item.

-Carlos Cavazo enjoyed platinum record selling success with "Quiet Riot" in the mid 1980s and now performs with "The Hollywood All Stars" and "Three Legged Dog."

-Tony Cavazo co-wrote the top 10 single "Bang Your Head" ("Quiet Riot"), recorded and toured with "Hurricane" and currently plays in "The Sacred Cowboys" and "MLC."

-Stephen Quadros has become internationally known as a television commentator in the mixed martial arts world for his work with Pride Fighting Championships, Cage Rage and the International Fight League, among others. Quadros currently performs and records with "Whipped Cream" as well as being a band member, along with Tony Cavazo, in "The Sacred Cowboys" and" MLC."

ALERT:

We Need Reps

TourDatesNow will be undergoing a transformation. We will be transforming this into our new domain ROCKARMYMUSIC.COM and all info on the site will be directed to publicise and promote all indie, regional and national bands and shows. This site has had a great response, and will give the bands a good deal of exposure.

If you are interested in being a rep when the new site is ready, please contact me here thru Squidoo for now.

You will find more info on the site, but do be advised that some links are still not working, but heres a tip. If you can see the address at the bottom in your status bar but it says something like
tourdatesnow.com/whatever.html just replace the tourdatesnow portion with rockarmymusic.com/whatever.html and you will be able to get to a page. We hope to have all this done by end of month, in the meantime, sorry for any inconveniences.

How did all this get started

I'm glad you asked

Once upon a time there was a website called TourDates.com. I along with many others worked as writers and reps for them as well as the company called Launch. Launch bought out TD and things began to change, and corporate rules and regulations made the writers upset, because things began to get too commercial and it was no longer the great free resource site for musicians it once was.

Everyone was unhappy, and corpoate talk was unsettling, and reps were dropping out one after the other. Yours truly decided that I could not let that happen, so I used my head some, and bought the name TourDatesNow.com, I would hope my reasoning would be obvious on that one LOL.

Anyhow, after about 6 months online, and awesome numbers, I fell quite ill and began to have many serious health issues, which I still do have, but at least now I can walk again and sit up at my computer, YEAH.

For almost 6 years, the website sat unattended, while the domain name was given up and sold to a company that is now using it for a search engine for tickets, travel and concert touring, smart on thier part, dont you think.

To make the long story short, I have owned the domain RockArmyMusic for about 4 years, but had still not built a site for it using my original plan, but instead suddenly realised that I could take the TDN site, and modify it to be RAM with a lot less time and effort than building one from scratch. All I can say is THANK YOU for free servers, as I have a habit of building sites on them, like the ones on Tripod, and then I match, or mirror them on other servers including paid ones. This way if something happens, I still have the free site working. Glory Be!!

Since I also sell hosting, Check Out Our Fabulous Hosting Plans I have already bought one of my own packages to use for all my sites, so eventually RAM will be on the server with the rest, but the Tripod site will always be there, it will just be redirected to the other servers when the time comes, and that move should be relativly seamless, I hope LOL.

So this is the story of how this came to be. Now the BIG question. YOU are here on Squidoo, so that means you most likely like to write and publish. Could you write about bands, venues and concerts in your area. If so, then I NEED YOU!!

At one time this was a very well respected site in this industry, and we intend to make it so again, with your help.

Contact me if you want to write about the mu

About sojournstar

I have been in and out of the music industry for about 40 years. I began as an entertainer, and have done everything from production and promotion to booking and management. I have currently had a music site, Sojournstar Music, online since 1995, and have other internet business/marketing related sites I own also. I stay connected to this industry and the people I am associated with in it, and am always trying to help other musicians and bands with the resources or knowledge I have available to me.
