Rockapella: Acapella Done Right
Rockapella is the biggest name in a cappella music. They are the sensational a cappella group with smooth sounds and harmonies that has taken a cappella music to another level altogether. These five guys with just five mics can do it all - pop, ballads, soul, holiday, etc, and they do it amazingly.
Rockapella is way more then Carmen Sandiago, way more then Folgers, way more then Zombie Jamboree. Their name has become synonymous to acapella done right.

Rockapella on Wikipedia
Rockapella is an American a cappella musical group formed in 1986 in New York City. They were best known for their series of Folgers Coffee commercials and their participation on the long-running PBS children's geography game show Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?, as well with the show's theme song. "Rockapella" is a portmanteau of "rock" and "a cappella". In addition to original vocal music, the group also performs a cappella covers of pop songs.

Tributes
Drunken or otherwise
Okay, so I searched YouTube looking for clips from a concert or whatever and found myself overtaken by these Rockapella tributes. (Don't get me wrong, there was plenty of concert footage there to keep me busy a while, but I have been to concerts - this I have not seen).
If you have a slow connection and can only choose one, go with Pretty Woman.
Where are they now?
The former members of Rockapella are still busy men.
- Elliott Kerman
- Elliot is working independently on jazz compilations.
- Sean Altman
- Sean Altman is anywhere and everywhere. Putting out CDs independantly and with the Groovebarbers.
- Barry Carl
- Barry is busy doing voice overs, commercials, writing, and The SoLow Project.
- The GrooveBarbers (a.k.a. The Astelins)
- A cappella group in which you will find former members Sean Altman, Steve Keyes, and Charlie Evett

- Does anyone know of their cameo in a PBS public service announcement made around 1998? It featured Captain Kangaroo talking about the tv ratings and descriptors? I'm trying to find a clip of it.
