A cult phenomenom, Rocky Horror Picture Show, or RHPS, is an incredibly fun and outrageous movie, play, and all around good time. If you've heard about people going to attend a RHPS film fest, you may have heard about the other thing that makes it fun, people dress up like characters from the movie. That's right! If you were ever looking for a fun night, attending a showing of RHPS dressed up as Dr Frank N. Furter, Magenta, Janet, or any of the other characters from Rocky Horror Picture Show is the way to go!

Dress Up as Dr. Frank-N-Furter
Dr. Frank-N-Furter appears throughout most of Rocky Horror Picture Show as wearing an all black outfit consisting of a corset, panties, a garter belt with thigh high stockings, and a pearl necklace. Near the beginning of the movie he wears a black cape over it all as well. In the laboratory scene he is dressed in green scrubs, and some people do dress up like that for his part, but most prefer the corset outfit which is also what much of the rest of the group wears toward the end of the movie in the show/pool scene. Dress Up as Columbia
Columbia appears in several different outfits during the movie. She first appears in a sequined costume as she tap dances across the floor during the Time Warp, this is how most people choose to dress like her. Next, she covers her costume with an apron and wears a face mask up in the laboratory, and after that she's in pajamas and wearing Mickey Mouse ears. Finally, Columbia appears in the floor show wearing a corset and stockings, similar to Frank's. Columbia Costumes

Riff Raff spends the movie wearing a sort of butler's outfit. Long black pants, a black jacket, and a white shirt. At the end of the movie he dons a futuristic spaceman type outfit. Riff Raff Costumes

Dress Up as Janet
Janet starts the movie dressed in a dapper little suit consisting of a white sweater over a pink dress and with a fancy hat. Most people choose to dress as her later in the movie, when she is down to her panties, bra, and slip. Some people add an artistic tear to the slip to match the movie better, but all should be white and virginal. At the end of the movie, Janet along with many other characters, is dressed in a corset and thigh-highs that match Dr. Frank-N-Furter's. Janet Costumes
