I found this idea in a Martha Stewart magazine for Valentine's Day, and decided to put them to good use for several months after, rather than use them only once.Felt fortune cookies can be filled with random surprises, such as small trinkets and mini love note fortunes. We place them on a dish in the bedroom and check every once in a while to see if there are any new messages hiding inside. :-)

Decorate the front of a blank journal using paint, markers, glitter pens, etc. Make sure it's spiral-bound so you can hang ribbons, small trinkets, pendants, beads, accessories from the edge. You both can continue to fill the journal with memorable experiences and happy times together.
You could also start a new scrapbook, including photos, stories, past love notes, movie tickets, vacation brochures, etc. With a scrapbook, you can include unique items and information about the two of you in word and picture form.
