Need help on deciding which watch is for you?

Let's face it, running is the most simplest sport, period. You can just get up and run, but I can't deny the privileges technology has given us to make our favourite sport more productive and beneficial to us. That's why I'm amazed on every invention and that's why I follow the evolution of running GPS watches. How can running get even easier?

How many times have you promised yourself that you'll start running on Monday? How many New Years Eve's have passed and you still couldnt fulfill this resolution? Oh dear i know that feeling..

One of the main reasons i recommend people to buy a GPS Running watch is the Motivation it gives you. Sure music is motivating, of course the mind soothing peace a good run can give you is a reason to start and noone can resist a good running partner...but what will really make you get off the couch and run?

After many years of running i can safely say that my running watch was the reason that always boosted my urge to run. Call me competitive, but the stats that a GPS watch can give you pushes you to do better and better. What's more motivating than trying to beat your own scores?

I created this lens to upload my reviews i've made. Go through the reviews and im sure you'll find a watch that suits you, either you are a soccer Mom or a professional athlete.

Garmin FR60 Fitness Watch Review

Lilac is the new black.

Garmin FR60I am going to go a little fashion crazy here; I absolutely love the design and the colour. I never liked pink, but this shade of lilac is working for me. Not to mention that the FR60's size is at last perfect for a woman's wrist. Enough with the girly talk, lets head to what the watch actually provides us runners with.

The Garmin FR60 is Garmin's NON-GPS beauty. Designed just for runners, the Garmin FR60 gives all the features a runner needs with the quality promise Garmin always gives.

The question that arises is, what is a runner's watch worth without a GPS? To find out, continue reading at Garmin FR60 Review

Garmin Forerunner 110 GPS Sport Watch with Heart Rate Monitor Review

Think Pink.

Garmin Forerunner 110

The Garmin Forerunner 110 is Garmin's 2010 suggestion for all us runners. As lucky as i am, i managed to get my hands on the pink one (yes pink) with a heart rate monitor. Garmin took the "Less is more" motto and turned it into a running GPS watch. Let's see what it left out and if we like it...

Garmin Forerunner 310XT with Heart Rate Monitor Review

The ultimate tool or just another stop watch?

Garmin Forerunner 310xtI currently have my hands on Garmin's 2009 model, the Forerunner 310xt with the heart rate monitor. My first thought, when seeing it, was that it's bigger than some other watches yet smaller than most. I liked the orange/grey colour and the feel of its material once I tried it on. Another thing that is impressive is the new heart rate monitor strap. It's made of elastic fabric, other than the pure plastic of the older ones. It is really comfortable although it does have a downside you won't see on first sight..

Garmin Forerunner 405 GPS Sport Watch, is it worth the run?

Stick with this review to find out.

Garmin Forerunner 405 ReviewRecently I had the privilege to take a black Garmin Forerunner 405 on a test run. At first I was sceptical. Can this smooth design of a watch give me the tools that I need to train? It says it combines accuracy with style, as Dan Bartel, Garmin's vice president of worldwide sales said: "Runners no longer have to choose between fashion and function." Let's see%u2026

In a nutshell, it monitors your time, distance, pace, calories and heart rate (you do have to buy a Heart Rate Monitor for the last feature, unless you already have a Garmin's HRM from another device you own, it should work fine). It stores your progress every time you take a run and with the USB ANT stick, it automatically syncs with your computer so you can analyse your results and even compete with your friend's recorded courses.

Does it have more to give than any average GPS workout watch? Find out here, Garmin Forerunner 405 Review

Garmin Forerunner 205 GPS Receiver and Sports Watch Review

Less is More.

Garmin Forerunner 205I decided to take out my old watch and give it its place on the pedestal.

Garmin Forerunner 205 was released in 2006 along with the Forerunner 305, as an upgrade from Garmin's previous models like Forerunner 101/201. The Forerunner 205 is one of the first GPS running watches that has a more watch-like size and does not lack the functionality of Garmin's features.

For many, going back to older models is considered downgrading, but how true is that? Hang on to this Garmin Forerunner 205 Review, for setting that myth straight.

Garmin Foretrex 401 Hiking Review

A Hiker's best peak

Garmin Foretrex 401So you are a hiker. I bet you are tired of buying watches that 'almost' does it for you but not quite. Well i think i found the solution. The Garmin Foretrex 401 was introduced to the public on 18 June 2009. I have a psyched hiker friend who owns one of these and he is satisfied. Before i actually got my hands on it, i did a little research, i always have an itch when everything seems perfect. Here is a brief description i first found:

"The Foretrex 401 is a slim wrist-mounted GPS navigator perfect for outdoor activities that require the use of both hands. Foretrex 401 combines a high-sensitivity waterproof GPS receiver, electronic compass and barometric altimeter into a lightweight device ideal for hikers, skiers, campers and military personnel"

Really good read, enjoyed the content and interesting to get your thoughts on some of these watches. Favourite Garmin got to be the 610 though, I swear by it now!
