The "Giant Squid Buddy-Up Project" is a month-long challenge and opportunity for the Giant Squids to teach, mentor and support a small team of people they think would make a fantastic lensmasters.
Squidoo is a Social Network which hosts your "lens" or site or blog for free. The function of the site is to make it easy for people to create free pages (or lenses) on their interests, and to earn royalties for their quality content.You can also donate your proceeds to charity or keep the money or split the money. Or if you have a charity you can list your charity and other lensmasters can create a Donation Box on their sites to support your good cause. So if you have friends with a 501C3, please refer them to us - we love worthy causes here on the SWIM team.
I'm offering to assist you in creating your first lens on Squidoo. How often do you get an offer for personal assistance when you create something new? All you have to do to join Squidoo is click on the button under the banner at the top of this page which reads "Build Your Own Lens", or on the right side in the blue banner that says "Create A Lens" and then send me an email - see contact me in my profile. The most important part is to get started. Don't worry.you can learn as you go! You can always edit and change things on your lens. Then, when it's ready, publish it and show it off to your friends by linking to if from Facebook, Twitter etc.

I know you are an expert on something and you have the interest in earning money on-line. I have been with Squidoo since December 17 2007 and I love this community. I am a Giant Squid 100 - that means I have created over 100 lenses. I was awarded the Giant 100 on October 5, 2009!
So in short I am an expert and I can help you. Let me mentor you. I know you can SWIM well on my team.

Don't worry if you do not know how to program - no programming is necessary just a willingness to make an attempt. And I am willing to give you pointers. We can write and rewrite together.
Squidoo Has a Great Deal of Potential for Artists
There are many other artists in this community doing quite well here. This is a great place to sell your artwork and I will teach you how to do it! So click on "create a lens" and lets get started.
Once you click on "create a lens" you will be asked for a site title. Make sure it is specific to your topic, for example, if you sell artwork related to National Parks choose a title such as Art in the National Parks. Usually the name you choose becomes your URL (or the web address) so make it fairly short! This is important - try for under 20-24 characters. Also make it catchy or cleaver because this will magnetize traffic.
Of course, if you are an artist you use your own images - or sell your images on Cafepress or Zazzle. I can teach you about those as well.
What if you are not an artist? I am NOT an artist so I use allposters and art.com to get my pictures. Like this one:

- Well I am SO glad I found this page! LOVE the Golden Retriever (looks similar to my Sheba) and the idea of a buddy system is a great one. I am soon to become a Squid and would be more than willing to buddy-up and SWIM! :-)
