Ranked #8,916 in People, #159,716 overall

Sacha Noam Baron Cohen  - AKA Ali G (a journalist from West Staines, England), Borat (a Kazakh reporter) and Bruno (a flamboyantly gay Austrian fashion reporter).
He is not the same person as the female figure skater Sasha Cohen.
All three characters are featured in Da Ali G Show, a sometimes unscripted TV show in which Sacha Baron Cohen conducts interviews as one of his three characters. What is amazing is that people believe that the interviews are sincere and legitimate.
An Early appearacnce
In 1995 he appeared as Kristo, a fictional television reporter from Albania on Channel 4. This character may have been the roots of Borat.
The Rocky Road

While waiting for his break - even after the very brief success of Kristo - Choen had employment with Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan. Let's hope he wasn't on the customer service desk.

Bruno
In 1998 Cohen got back into acting having been given 2-minute sketches as a fashion reporter called Bruno on The Paramount Comedy Channel during 1998.
Ali G
At around the same time in 1998 he also appeared as Ali G, an idiotic wannabe gangsta rapper, appearing on The Eleven O'Clock Show on Channel 4.
This led on to his own show "Da Ali G Show" in 2000, which went on to win the BAFTA for best comedy series in the following year. Also in 2000, Ali G appeared in Madonna's music video "Music."
Ali G Indahouse
In 2002, Ali G was the lead character in the feature film Ali G Indahouse. A very british comedy in which he is elected to the British Parliament and foils a plot to bulldoze a community centre in his hometown of Staines.
His television show was brought to the United States a year later in 2003 with new episodes set in America for HBO network.
The Interviews
Ali G's interviews with famous people and  politicians gained notoriety partly because the subjects were often not privy to the joke Baron Cohen was playing a comedic character. On at least one occasion, the interviewee was merely told that Ali G had a popular show on MTV that kids watched.
The willingness of Ali G's interviewees to answer his risqué questions often created surprising conversations.
Notable interviewees have included
astronaut Buzz Aldrin
Ralph Nader
Gore Vidal
Donald Trump
former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop
Shaquille O'Neal
Mohamed Al Fayed
Speaker of the House
Newt Gingrich
Pat Buchanan
Noam Chomsky
David Beckham
Boutros Boutros-Ghali
Neil Hamilton
Andy Rooney - whit him growing extremely frustrated and abruptly ended the interview, prompting Ali G to ask "is it 'cos I is black?,"
