Saving them or you?

We are constantly being told in the media of the impact of our carbon footprint, both as a society and individuals. We all have a responsibility to protect and care for our environment in order to ensure it will be around for future generations to enjoy.

The problem is that 'green ' energy often results in green paper for the energy companies who are willing to charge more to eco conscious customers. Is it possible then to have a viable source of energy that is both ecological conscious yet economically viable for the average family in the current economic climate?

What's Your Thoughts

Good Idea or Gimmick?

Yes of course we would all like to save to environment, rescue sea turtles, solve world hunger and find a cure for cancer. The fact is though can the majority of people afford to go green in the current economic climate or is the "Save Today Save Tomorrow" just another way for the marketers to dip thier hands in our pockets while we get a warm a fuzzy feeling from a mislaid sense of social responsibility!?

How Can you really tell if the energy your getting is 'green' its all coming from the same source. I would rather we just build some nuclear power plants, cheap electricity and no longer reliant on the middle east for oil.
