- Personally, I could never leave an animal behind or not help if I could. Our Search and Rescue team recently was on a mission where it was too late for the person we were looking for, but we were able to return her dog to the family. I wouldn't have been able to sleep at night if we had just left the dog out there. There would have been no reason to do that, and at least it brought a little happiness back to the family.

- This is an excellent lens with so much to think about. Being a critter person it's hard for me to imagine leaving them behind. Hopefully I will never have to make that choice. 5*

- Good lens and good topic. I "lensrolled" this to my lens on Earthquake Preparedness and Pets. Raising awareness about what could happen and how what we do beforehand and to help others is a very good thing. We've taken them into our care in the first place.

- A great debate about saving animals in natural disasters. Great job. Some more angel dust for you and a feature on How Do I Bless Thee? Let Me Count The Ways.

- A very good topic to bring up at this time. It will be interesting to see if anyone comes up with links to disprove your point. By the way, you were very clear and succinct in making your case. 5*

- I'd save the humans first and everything else secondly. Still it's nice to see your love of animals.

- Helping the pets of Haiti should be a priority but only after some major help and clean has brought Haiti back to order. There is no use saving the animals if chaos still rules the land. The animals would be doomed anyway.

- Great lens, I tried to answer you question above but it wouldn't let me. I gave money already to Haiti and during Katrina I gave money for the animals. I will have to see if the SPCA or Human Society in Canada is raising money. If not I will give to the American Humane Society.
