Greatest Sci-Fi Weapons
Personally I have come to love the Lancer from Gears of War. Not only does this weapon offer us that big bad@$$ gun feeling, but it's got a chainsaw on the front of it that opens up a whole new gory world. Plain old melee attacks will just never be the same.Generally people lean towards the lightsabers from Star Wars, though if you think about it, unless you are force sensitive this weapon is not that effective. Which leads to the Force as being an even better weapon.
Though a Gundam or just a basic Mobile Suit would also be really cool too.

My Opinion: Heavy weapons are always great but small arms just seem to give destruction that more personal feel, especially when using a Lancer.
