Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the most poular spirit drank in the world today. Scotland is the home of this magnificent drink, steeped in history and tradition. No other country has come close to matching its quality and diversity of taste. No one knows why, but perhaps it is the mountaineous lochs and springs which supply the water or the peaty soil over which they run.How to drink Whisky.
There is no right or wrong way to drink Scotch whisky its all down to personal taste.
Many drink it neat saying they don't want to spoil the taste by adding water.
Equally, many say a drop of pure soft water enhances the aroma and flavour.

Ice dulls the taste.
Carbonated water interferes with the aroma.
Adding mixers like ginger ale, soda etc. just mask the taste.
There are four types of Scotch Whisky
A Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the product of one specific distillary and has not been mixed with whisky from any other distilleries.
Blended Pure Malt (Valted) Whisky will contain a number of malt whiskies skilfully blended to create its own distinct identifiable character.
Single Grain Whisky is the product of one grain distillery and is usually made from wheat, corn or unmalted barley.
Blended Whikies may contain a combination of whiskies from over 40 or 50 different malt and grain distilleries. each whisky used in blending the mixture is normally matured for about five years.
