Let's get started!

First, of course you will need to make sure you have the correct letters to spell out your word. It could say "Happy Holidays," like mine, or you could do someone's name, "love," "peace," or anything else!

002

Make sure your letters are on a good surface for drilling. Mine was extra fancy--cardboard! Lol! Using a 5/64 drill bit, I eyeballed the center of each tile and drilled a small hole.

003

Next, cut your organza ribbon to approximately 6" lengths. Make a diagonal cut on each end of the ribbon so that it can be threaded easily onto a sewing needle. Put your ribbon onto your needle and pull it gently through the hole in the scrabble tile.

004

Next, leaving the needle ON the ribbon (unless you don't mind re-threading it in a minute), tie a knot close to the tile. Make sure both of your ends are about the same length.

005

This is optional, but I really like how festive the little flower beads look, and they cover up the knot, too! Using the needle, pull one end of your ribbon through the bead.

006

Now, put the needle on the other side of the ribbon. Hold the ribbon that is already through the bead very tightly so that you can see through the hole in the bead.

007

Pull the 2nd end of the ribbon through the bead. Keep holding that first end tight, so you don't accidentally put the needle through the ribbon!

008

If the needle doesn't go through easily, you can use a pair of needle-nosed pliers to help out.

009

Pull your bead down over the knot. Tie a know or a bow at the other end of the ribbon and Ta-Da! You did it!

012

Now repeat with all of your other letters. You can use the same colored beads or all different ones. I used a pattern to look like Christmas lights.
